The Rooftop Ghost

HANAKO'S POV:

Yesterday was quite the eventful day. Yesterday Y/N and I finally had a conversation with each other,and I think we might be friends again. On top of that,while I was at my meeting with the other supernaturals Kou and Yashiro decided to get into a bit of trouble. They decided:
'Hey ya know what? Hanako is out right now,why not cause some trouble?'
Yea that's what happen. They snuck into Tsuchigomori-sensei's boundary or No.5's rather and got into some trouble. He was livid at the kids,he almost killed them in fact! But hey,at least I got to hear their secrets,though they had to hear my love for donuts as well. Tsuchigomori-sensei gave up and took Yashiro to his yorishiro,she was placed in the nurse's office until she woke up. But when she did,she seemed slightly off. Almost depressed actually.

Currently Kou and Yashiro were in my bathroom,Yashiro was cleaning while Kou was helping out. "Oh that's right!" I exclaim"let introduce you two to somebody." The two turned to me"hm? Who is it?" Kou asks as I go over to the third bathroom stall"you can come out Y/N,they're not going to hurt you." I say looking to the H/C haired girl,she was sat on the toilet seat,her knees brought to her chest. "No." She said"huh?! Why not?!" She shakes her head"I don't want to meet them right now." I then felt two presences beside me"ah! You're the girl from the other day!" Kou exclaims as Y/N looks to the blonde"hello." She said as the girl beside me spoke up"Hanako-kun,who is this?"

"That's Y/N,Yashiro. She is a forgotten school mystery." I explain"huh? Wait,what do you mean?" She asks"she's the oldest supernatural at this school,well besides the Mokke of course." Kou then speaks up"wait so you're older than Hanako? But you look so much younger!" The girl looked back to the floor,a pink tint on her cheeks. "Th-Thank you." She stutters"anyway,why don't you come and join us? You can't just hide from these two." I say offering the girl my hand"hey,it's ok! We're not going to hurt you." Yashiro smiles"actually,Kou-"Y/N speaks up lifting her head"do you know of a girl named Rei?" The boy stayed quiet,obviously thinking it over. "No sorry. Doesn't ring a bell." Y/N frowns slightly but then nods and stands up,I retract my arm. "Well-"she smiles"I guess I can become friends with you two! Sorry for being so shy before,over the years I've just become more of an introvert."

I smile and look to the two mortals"now,get back to work! This bathroom isn't going to clean itself!" I joke as Yashiro mutters a 'yes sir' while Kou screams at me for telling him what to do. Y/N sits down on the window sill as I shut the stall door and join her. "Oh right,Yashiro." She hums"why have you been acting so weird lately?" She turns on her heel and continues at the floor"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm acting like I always do." I place my index finger on my chin"are you suuure? You're just not reacting like you always do. You also stopped whining." I hop off the window sill and go over to her"isn't that a good thing?" She remarks"no! It's boring." I then grabbed her wrists making her drop the mop and force her to look at me"as a matter of fact,you've stopped looking at me!" She lets out a few 'ow's of pain"I'm looking at you! I'm looking at you! You're hands are cold!" I let go of her and sigh"this is no fun." I then turn to Y/N"even Y/N is more fun than you Yashiro!"

"Wait don't drag me into this." Y/N remarks"I'm not,I'm just making a statement." I say sitting beside her. "It sounds like you are. It's also not nice to compare people Hanako." She warns me as I watch Yashiro pick up the mop"I wasn't comparing her. I was just-"

"It kinda sounded like it. But I knew what you meant. Just think before you speak,ok?"

"Ok..."

Time skip tomorrow

"Y/N,do you wanna head to the rooftop with me?" I ask looking to the girl who was perched up on the window sill. She turns to me,the afternoon sunlight gave her a nice glow. "Sure." She says getting of the window sill as I smile and take her hand. "Let's go! Let's go!" I cheer as she gives a weak smile and I take us up to the rooftop. Today was a good day,the weather was warm but with the occasional breeze it wasn't to hot. Y/N and I have been talking,even if it's just a little. "It's pretty today." She says looking up to the sky"it is. Hey Y/N?" She hums"who was the guy who called you 'my love' all those years ago?" She looks to me"why are you asking all of sudden?" I shrug"I just remembered it." She purses her lips before speaking up"they're nobody that concerns you. They're dead anyways. For good now. I'm sure of it." I let out a soft 'oh' as I heard the door open behind us.
