Remaining Constant

HANAKO'S POV:

We were now in the student council room trying to come up with how we can get Mirai. Everyone sat at the table but me. Y/N had ended up leaving after Akane agreed to help us. I knew she was taking what he said personally,heck I was to. "How can we catch her?...oh! Cant you use your ability to stop her Akane?" Yashiro suggests"that's a great idea senpai!" Akane shakes his head"Mirai is immune to my ability. And you saw how ridiculously fast she was. If we give her free rein for a little,then maybe it'll get out of her system." Akane explains"can you put everyone back to normal?" Kou asks"don't worry about it,the old man will do it." Akane waves off. Y/N must be hurting a lot right now. That was like Akane saying: 'you deserve what happened to you'. A big ol' slap in the face for her. I want to see her,I need to find her and make sure she's-

I felt a light tap on my cheek bringing me out of my thoughts as Kou's voice was heard beside me. "What's wrong Hanako? You've been really quiet. And Y/N,she left." I take the candy and study it,it was nothing more than a hard suck candy. "Are you thinking about what Akane-senpai said? And where did Y/N go? Do you know?"

"Never mind that." I say rolling the candy in between my fingers as loud crunching sounds were heard. "Hey,is it just me or do you hear loud crunching?" Kou nods and looks around the room"now that you mention it,yea." Yashiro nods in agreement"it kinda sounds like-"that's when the candy bag on the table shook a little and then jumped out the small girl with brown hair,Mirai. She giggled and grabbed a Mokke as it gave off a traumatic look"stupid heads!" Kou and Akane let out a scream as she giggled once more before jumping off the table.

We each tried to grab her but we failed. At one point Akane and I ran into each other. "She's getting away!" Yashiro exclaims as Kou grabs her by her hair"don't underestimate me school mystery! You got me for the last time but now I know all your-"she then touches Kou as a clock appears over him and she jumps out of his grasp. Kou falls to the floor a smoke cloud forms making Akane sigh"the average age of the school is going up again..."

"I'm having a hard time moving your time forward for some reason. I just wanted to make you more handsome! Buuutt it didn't work." She frowns as she vanishes.

"Kou! Are you ok?!" Yashiro exclaims going over to the now disappearing smoke cloud. "D*mn she got away,that little pipsqueak." Kou growls as my eyes widened at what I saw. Instead of the old people like what Mirai has been doing,Kou looked older. Probably in his late high school life. "Woow,looks just like the student council President." Akane says unimpressed.

"HUH?! WHAT HAPPEN TO ME?!" Kou yells looking down at himself. "Must be that exorcist blood." I admit floating in front of the boy"I guess it makes it harder to be affected by supernaturals." Yashiro(who was beside me) was like a broken record unable to process a word.  She finally turned on her heels and ran off"WAIT FOR ME! COME BACK AND MAKE ME INTO A BEAUTIFUL LADY WITH SEXY LEGS! AND OVERFLOWING WITH ADULT CHARM!"

"YASHIRO! WAIT!" I called out to the girl as I follow the girl down the halls. She finally collapsed panting"I couldn't...find her..."

"You really didn't have to chase her that hard." I tell her"bedsides-"Akane starts with a smile"Mirai can't change your physical appearance,she's only able to move time forward." That was like a death to Yashiro but Kou went over to her"senpai-"he bent down and offered his hand"you're cute,just the way you are." Yashiro's eyes widen as she jumps up and runs behind me,her hands grabbing my uniform. "I-I'm sorry,don't get so close to me!"

"But why?! Hanako!" Now that I'm actually looking at him...he looks like Teru. And with that,Yashiro and I were now hiding behind Akane. "Sorry,don't get to close to me." I apologize in fear"HUH?!"

"There's never a dull moment with you people...forget that,we need to think of a way to capture Mirai." Akane shakes his head as Yashiro and Akane begin to come up with a strategy once again. I go over to Kou who was sulking in the corner still"hey kid." I placed my hand on his shoulder"it's about Mirai." He looks to me"make sure that she doesn't touch Yashiro. No matter what." He furrows his brows"hm?"

"I'll be keeping an eye on her to,but the more help I have the better." He nods"you don't have to tell me but...is there a reason you brought it up?" I shake my head with a soft smile"not really." I then smirked"it would be really bad if she became old cuz she's a girl,ya know." I lie"you're...hiding something."

"Hanako-kun! Kou! We came up with a plan!" Yashiro yells in between the two of us. Yashiro seemed really excited about the plan she came up with.

I'm sorry to hide this from you Kou,but you can't know. I want things to stay the same...forever.
