Chapter 10

(Tori's POV)

We're into the 2nd week of Eddie not coming into school. I went to visit him and his grandad over the weekend and I've spoken to him over the phone a few times so far this week. It seems that his grandad is getting a bit better, which is amazing news.

I've also been receiving quite a few texts from Jamie ever since Karaoke Dokie. He keeps asking to meet up and keeps asking if I'd like to go out for food with him one evening.
I keep making up excuses not to go for food with him as that seems too much like a date. I'm sure he doesn't mean for it sound like he wants to take me on a date, so we settled on getting coffee instead.

I still want Jamie to meet Eddie too, but every time a mention it to Jamie, he always acts a little funmy about it. I hope they manage to get along well with each other when they do finally meet.

It's now Thursday and Trina and I have just arrived in school. To my surprise I see Eddie at his locker and I rush over to him and hug him tightly from behind.
He jumps slightly as soon as I wrap my arms around him but he quickly turns around and leans down to kiss me, and I kiss him back, passionately.

"Please do that in your own time, not on school premises you two" Lane says to us as he walks past.

I grin at Eddie and we both walk to Sikowitz's class, hand in hand, when the bell rings.

"I wasn't expecting to see you in school today babe" I say to him.

"Yeah well grandad seems to be okay for now so I thought I would take the chance to come in, plus I've been missing spending my lunches with you babe" he says as he squeezes my hand and looks down at me and smiles.

I squeeze his hand back and lean my head on his shoulder as we arrive at Sikowitz's class.

As we take our seats next to each other, still holding hands, my phone vibrates in my pocket. I take out my phone amd see a text from Jamie.

Jamie: Have a good day at school Tor, can't wait to see you again! Xx

That's confusing because Jamie hasn't texted me during school before. As I start to reply, I notice Eddie looking at me from the corner of my eye.

"Cant wait to see you again? Who's Jamie?" he asks me.

I turn to him and see that he's wearing a small smile on his face.

"I was meaning to tell you babe, when we were at Karaoke Dokie the other night, I met one of my old, closest friends from Sherwood. A guy called Jamie Jenson. We lost contact when I moved here, but he saw Andre and I sing that night and he came up to me to say hi" I say in a rush, trying to explain in one breath. I don't want Eddie getting the wrong idea about me and Jamie.

Clearly Eddie realises that I'm worried.
"Tori, Tori, it's okay I believe you, I thought he would've been an old friend of yours anyway I didn't think it was anything else" he says to me with a reassuring smile as he places a hand on my thigh.
Oh thank god for that.

"I do want you to meet him though. He's already met the rest of the gang and I think he got along with them all well" I say to him.

"Even Jade"

"Well, apart from Jade, obviously" I add.

"Obviously" he laughs at that.

"Okay children!" Sikowitz suddenly bursts through the door with his coconut in hand.

"Today we will be learning more about the six primary tools needed to make a good actor. The six tools are movement, language, gesture, memory, attention, and executive control."
