Chapter 16

New Year's Eve

(Tori's POV)
My mom and I are frantically rushing around the house, trying to get things tidy and setting up a large buffet on the dining room table.
All of our friends and family are coming over tonight for a new year's party, so we want everything to be perfect.
My dad is working late tonight because apparently new year's is one of the busiest nights of the year because so many people go out drinking. Luckily though, my dad has managed to get an earlier shift in work, meaning he'll be able to make it home a couple of hours before midnight.
Trina is doing god knows what, but clearly nothing helpful.

We set out a large variety of food and snacks on the table, ranging from mini burgers, cocktail sausages, my mom's amazing potato salad, veg sticks and dips, to different pastries, biscuits, chocolates and chips.

We set up a few party decorations and we hang a banner across the large window by the piano which reads Happy New Year.

Eddie is helping us set the speakers up and the karaoke machine. Even though this isn't a house party for just a bunch of teens, and instead a party attended by family and friends, there will still most likely be some drinking and a lot of singing.

It is now 5:30 and guests will start to arrive at 6:00, which only leaves me half an hour to get ready. I rush upstairs to my room to get changed, and Eddie follows me. I take off my sweatpants and top and my underwear. Before I can put some clean underwear on, Eddie comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me and kisses my neck. Dammit he kniws how much I love this and he knows I'm in a rush.

I try to hold in my moans as he continues kissing, and soon enough I have to force myself away from him so I can continue getting changed.
I huff in annoyance that I had to stop Eddie, and he just chuckles as he watches me get changed. I slip on some white skinny jeans and white high heels and a white and black patterned crop top with long, flared sleeves. I quickly, but carefully do my hair and makeup, and then turn to Eddie, who is now staring at me with his mouth open and eyes wide.

"Holy shit, you're stunning" he says as he continues to stare.

I instantly blush, "thank you baby."

Eddie is already dressed for the party. He is wearing dark grey skinny jeans, with a white and black, smart buttoned shirt and white nike trainers.

We both head back downstairs, and Eddie plays some music in the background through the speakers just as some guests start to arrive.

Eventually the downstairs of the house is filled with family and friends. The whole gang are here, along with Beck's parents and Andre's mom, as well as Sikowitz.
A few of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are here too.
As Eddie and I greet all of our guests, I introduce Eddie to each member of my family, one at a time.

"Toriii!" I hear someone calling out to me. I turn to see my cousin Amy rushing towards me with her arms stretched out wide.
I meet her hug and we embrace.

Amy and her parents, my aunt Rebecca and my uncle Mason live in Portland, in Oregon, so we don't get a lot of chances to see each other, but it just so happens that they are staying in LA for 2 weeks.

"Gosh it's been soo long, how are you girl how have you been keeping?" Amy asks.

"I'm very good Amy, things are going great" I say.

"I bet they are" Amy says with a smile as she looks at Eddie.

"So you must be THE Eddie who Tori always talks about?" Amy asks as she gives me a playful nudge.

"Yes I am, great to meet you" Eddie says with a friendly smile.

"Gosh Tori you told me he was sweet but you didn't tell me he was hot" Amy whispers to me, without realising how loud she actually is.
