Limping down the quinjet ramp after landing on Avenger's Tower, Y/N couldn't hold back the smile that came over her features. She was happy to be home and excited to see Tony. She had told him that she was coming home, but didn't answer him as to when.

"Welcome home, Agent Rogers," JARVIS greeted as she walked through the doors and into the penthouse. "I have informed Mr. Stark of your arrival and he is on his way."

"He's not on his way, he is here," Tony replied, exiting the elevator. The expression on his face quickly went from happy to concerned as he noticed Y/N's limp. "Did you get hurt?" He rushed over. "When? How bad is it? And who did it? Their going to-"

"Tony, Tony." Y/N rested her hands on his face, bringing their eyes to meet. "I'm fine." She brought him in for a kiss, that clearly showed how much she missed him. "Besides, it's just a little graze from a bullet."

"A bullet?!" He looked down at her leg. "And I'll be the judge of a little graze." Suddenly, Y/N was off her feet and in Tony's arms, being carried towards the elevator.

"Tony! I can walk!"

"Not until I check it out."

Y/N bit her lip to hold back a smile as she buried her head in Tony's neck. She absolutely loved how caring he could be. Even if at times it was overbearing. Tony took her to their bedroom and set her on the bed before hurrying and gathering supplies he thought he might need. Y/N had forgotten how much she loved her bed, and just how tired she was. She was almost asleep when Tony came back with the supplies he'd gathered. He set them down on the bed before sitting down beside her. He brushed the hair off her forehead.

"Oh, honey," he cooed. "You've barely been gone a week and it seems like it took everything out of you."

"It did," she mumbled, not opening her eyes. "I didn't realize I was this tired though..."

"Are you okay if I pull off your pants so that I can see the injury?"

"As long as you don't try anything... I'm too tired for any of your funny business..."

Tony chuckled. "I'm nothing but a gentleman." He leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her forehead, then her cheek, then her nose, and finally her mouth. "No funny business until your better..."

Tony gently put his hands at her waist, taking the edge of her pants in them. He carefully pulled them down until they were all the way off and she was in nothing but her underwear and the shirt she came home in. Tony then went to his dresser and pulled out one of his t-shirts.

"I grabbed one of your favorite shirts of mine," Tony told her, coming back to her side. "Why don't you slip it on while I unwrap the bandages on your leg?"

"Okay..." She mumbled with a nod.

Y/N sat up, taking the shirt from Tony, before slipping off the one she had on and into the one given to her. Tony moved down to her legs and began to slowly unwrap Y/N's bandages. After getting Tony's shirt on, Y/N laid back down and focused on Tony's calloused hands on her leg. Once the bandages were off, Tony clicked his tongue.

"Just a graze my ass," he muttered.

He examined the deep wound. It wasn't very long, which was good, but it also was too deep to be considered just a graze. Tony leaned down to it, pressing a kiss right above the injury. He repeated that all the way around the injury before he grabbed some ointment and spread it over the wound. Y/N kept her eyes closed the whole time, but once Tony began spreading the ointment, she let out a whine.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart," Tony said. "But next time maybe not lie about how bad your injury is."

Tony made sure that there was plenty of medicine on it before he wrapped it back up. He quickly put everything away before joining Y/N on the bed. He laid down beside her, pulling her back into his chest.
