She had been out late at night, wandering the streets instead of being safely indoors. She never wanted to go back home, not after the fight she and her mother had. Since her father's death, the two never got along. Her mother became a drunk, and [Y/N] was a homeschooled only child so she was trapped alone. Recently, her mother began to get physical with her daughter, and fights often ended in some sort of injury. Tonight, her unfair punishment was an abrasive injury to her forearm from several whippings of a belt. After all the screaming and crying, the girl decided to do what was best for her: leave.

Looking up at the sky, thunderclouds rolled in rather quickly. She embraced the rain, continuing walking through the fields. She held her arm out to the falling raindrops and winced at the pain. Even in the darkness, she could see the purple bruises and crimson cuts. Thunder rolled, enough for her to be startled. She felt truly alone. She heard footsteps and looked around, only finding a long red cape. Curious, she slowly started to approach the object. The cape was attached to a man, and with a sharp extend, he had a metal object towards the sky. Alert this man was committing a dangerous act, the girl rushed forward to stop him. The metal was struck by lightning, but the blond man did not fry as she thought. Instead, the two were surrounded by bright colors in shades she didn't know existed and within a few seconds, she was kneeling upon a rainbow ground.

"It appears we have an unsolicited visitor," She heard a man's voice speak. Caught off guard, she looked up, heavily breathing. Her eyes met two men, one with dark skin and golden eyes, the other the blond man with the cape. She fumbled for words but was filled with fear. Two men in silver and gold armor walked towards her, picking her up by her arms and even though she let out a verbal wince, they did not let go.

"Why did you let a human follow you to Asgard?!" Odin had shouted from his throne to his eldest son, Thor. Loki watched from where he stood, silent. He was curious as to not only how this could happen, but about who this human was.

"I had no idea she had been sneaking around. Father, I have no idea who this girl is!" He watched as his brother responded with an even louder shout. His father went just as silent as he did for a moment.

"We cannot have this happen again. If they're able to get here, who knows what destruction they could bring," Odin spoke in a calmer tone. Thor nodded in agreement. "Bring the human forth!"

Two guards walked forward with their hands holding chains that were attached to the wrists of the small female. She had solid metal cuffs around her wrists that were too tight because every time she tried to move, she bit her lip or squeezed her eyes shut from the pain. Something about this human interested Loki, but again he remained quiet. Her hair fell in front of half her face as the two men pushed her down onto her knees. She closed her eyes again in pain. He examined her forearm, and after noticing the drying blood he turned towards Odin.

"She's injured," He whispered, meeting the King's eyes. Odin turned to look at his son, but he turned back to the girl without a word. It was as if he didn't care.

"How did you get here?" Odin looked downward at her.

She took a deep breath and looked up towards the king. She was quiet with a shaky breath. "I didn't mean to. I have no idea-" The guards pulled sharply at her chains and she looked down, closing her eyes. They grumbled for her to answer the king's question. "I followed the man in the cape. I didn't know it would lead me here," She looked back up at Odin. "Please, I never asked to come here. Send me back." The guards pulled again, this time sharper. Loki had to look away. Something about watching this girl in pain hurt him and made him angry.
