Beatrix remained silent and he did not force her but he worriedly explained his thoughts.

"I am very worried about you. You have been hiding for a long time. I want my wife to see the outside world. I have been dreaming that we shop together, stroll like normal couples, and spend holidays together outside. Things that normal couples do. It is not that I am unhappy about what we have now. I just do not want you to miss something in life." He said with emotion that went straight to her heart.

"Let me think about it." She told him uncomfortably.

She thought about it when she is alone and her husband is in a court meeting. She admits that she wants to go out there. She wants to experience what normal people do, what normal couples do...

Being an imperial wife has many advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is I could not just let my face be seen in public. There is an image that I need to protect, feminine virtues, and standard protocols that need to be followed.

Many thought that being an imperial wife is so wonderful but they do not know and understand the price a woman should pay to be an imperial wife. Sometimes, you have to change or pretend that you are someone else to conform to the imperial standard, imperial etiquette, and many other things. Generally, it is limiting, constraining, and suffocating!

I always wonder what is it like to be a normal lady. To be able to stroll in the market with your lover, shop together with your lover, celebrate holidays outside with your lover, eat in different restaurants and food stalls with your lover, visit different sacred places and pray for happiness with your lover, tour the world and sightseeing with your lover, and of course, I want to dress up as a man and visit different brothels!

She laughed heartily as she thought about it. She missed those things in her previous lifetimes. She realized now that being an imperial wife is kind of boring!

Why do many women fight for it? Fight over the same man for what? For love? For wealth? For power? For fame? For influence? For victory? For pride? For survival? For honor? For all those things? But is it worth it?

She thought deeper and weigh several things in her mind and heart...

Will I stay hiding and allow myself to miss those things again?

Beatrix sighed as she consider several known facts, the current situation, and what she truly wants.

My husband is a first-rank minister, my father is a first-rank general, and my grandfather is a prime minister... They can protect me and can easily come up with a reasonable explanation as to why I am okay now. The situation is also unlike before. I did not grow up with the two princes so I did not have that bonding with them...

She does not believe in love at first sight so she thought that it is ridiculous to consider it. She always thought that the two princes only developed their feelings towards her through daily and constant exposure just like what happened between her and Zander.

Since that daily and constant exposure did not happen in the first place so I am probably just overthinking things and overestimating myself this time! It should be fine if I finally show myself outside!

That night, she told her husband and parents that she is ready to face the outside world from now on! They are happy to hear it! They decided that next week is the best time to finally show up. It is the emperor's birthday banquet and many high-ranking officials together with their family members are all invited.

Beatrix agreed and told them that she knows what special gift they could present to the emperor. She smiled excitedly as she realized that on that day, she will no longer be afraid to show her face! She does not need to hide anymore! She will no longer have to stay in the general's mansion all the time! She could do what she wanted together with her wonderful and supportive loved ones! She is very excited to attend the emperor's birthday celebration. It is a pity that there are still a few days left before that celebration, she still needs to hide from most of the people.

One night, Zander went home with a very worried face so Beatrix asked him what is the problem. He reluctantly told her...

"Do not tell anyone about this. Very few people knew about this. It should not be spread to others or else..." He lowered his voice as he warned her.

"What is it? You know that I can never spread gossip or rumor." She reminded him that his worries are for naught.

"Princess Dinah, the wife of Prince Andrew, was caught in the act of adultery." He whispered to her.
