"Little girl, why are you crying? Are you lost?" A little boy asked her.

"No, I am not lost." She immediately wiped her tears away and looked at the owner of the voice.

The voice came from a cute little boy about two to three years older than her. This boy is together with a cute little girl of the same age as Beatrix.

"I am sorry but who are you?" Beatrix immediately asked. She is not familiar with these two children.

"I am Alrick Martell and this is my sister, Erica Martell. We are Minister Martell's children." The little boy immediately replied. He smiled shyly at little Beatrix while the little girl named Erica smiled too.

"I am Beatrix Lamoreaux, General Ardor's daughter and Prime Minister Aaron's granddaughter." She introduced herself and smiled at the two children in front of her.

Little Prince Andrew excitedly checked for the result but his smile and excitement immediately vanished when he realized that his expectation is very different from reality! He saw his little Beatrix happily smiling and talking to a little eyesore! He is curious about the two children talking with Beatrix so he immediately asked his servants to investigate their background. That was how he knew about their identities.

After he realized that the plan did not work as expected and backfired miserably contrary to what was promised to him, he immediately sold the manservant as a slave to Cloud Empire! He wants to apologize to her and make it up to her but she would not properly talk to him! He tried talking to Beatrix during their study and eating sessions but she only reminded him that the Emperor and Empress ordered for both of them to concentrate on learning or eating and then she continued ignoring him...

He tried to approach her several times during her free time but she always made excuses and meet with Alrick and Erica! She seemed very happy spending her free time with them so he thickened his face and approached them, making it appear as if it was just a mere coincidence.

Beatrix introduced him to Alrick and Erica. After that, she ignored him again and continued talking to Alrick and Erica. He tried to integrate himself into their topic but he felt that Beatrix and Alrick seemed to have their own world and he was left alone instead!

The situation seemed very annoying and awkward to him but he also does not want to leave her alone with Alrick! He gritted his teeth secretly and accidentally looked in Erica's direction. He noticed that Erica seems to be looking at him and stop talking with her brother and Beatrix. She seems to want to start a conversation with him but is too shy to start the conversation on her own.

Little Prince Andrew considered his situation for a moment. He does not want to continue sitting there awkwardly like he is not there at all but he also does not want to leave and express his negative emotions so he started talking to Erica instead. Now, he has an excuse to stay longer! The once becomes twice, thrice, and several times...

Several years passed by. Beatrix and Alrick are usually seen together playing chess, roaming the palace garden, discussing politics, current events, and even random things while Prince Andrew is usually seen with Erica because he is always secretly spying on Beatrix and Alrick while Erica seems to like tagging along with him no matter how many times he asked her to leave him alone! He seemed to have grown a tail! When he could not take it anymore, Prince Andrew confronted her to make things clear between them...

"Erica, do you like me?" He directly asked her since he does not want to beat around the bush and waste his time.

"Yes, Your Highness! Since the first time I saw you, I already fell in love with you." Erica immediately confessed her true feelings with blind expectations in her eyes.

Without them knowing, Beatrix accidentally overheard Prince Andrew's question and Erica's answer. She smiled as she finally found the perfect pawn for her scheme...

Do not thank me, Erica! I am doing you a great favor! You like the bully so I will serve you the bully!

She immediately left as she did not want to hear their cheesy love confession or see their disgusting lovey-dovey acts later! She believed that she heard enough and she will just give them a nice push to free herself so she did not hear the continuation of their serious conversation...

"Erica, I do not want to lead you on and make you misinterpret or misunderstand everything. I am very sorry but I do not feel the same way... I already love someone else and my whole heart is owned by her! I intend to marry only her!" He bluntly informed Erica.
