"We do not need additional help! All the jobs are already taken yesterday!" The girl told her rudely.
Without them knowing, a handsome and scholarly young man appeared to check what is happening. He saw Beatrix and was immediately mesmerized by her beauty and charm. He stood like a statue as he stares at this very beautiful stranger...
"I am sorry but are you sure, Miss? The 'Wanted Help' sign is still hanging outside." Beatrix asked.
"You heard me right! We do not need help anymore! You can go out now!" The girl shooed Beatrix to go out of the jewelry shop but she was scolded by a deep man's voice.
"Impertinent girl! How dare you overstep your boundaries! The last time I checked, this jewelry shop is mine, why are you deciding on your own?! Are you the owner now?!!" He ruthlessly scolded the girl when he finally announced his presence to the two girls.
"I apologize, Young Master, but all of the job vacancies are already filled yesterday. We just forgot to remove the signage..." She carelessly insisted.
"No... We still need one..." He said as he stares at Beatrix.
"For what job?" The rude girl asked, feeling so annoyed now that her young master is intensely staring or more likely almost drooling now...
"If I said that there is a vacancy, then there is still a vacancy! Why are you purposely making it difficult for me?! Go to the entrance, now!!!" He ordered the impertinent girl to get out of his sight and guard the entrance door.
"I am sorry about my servant's rude attitude. She is just overestimating her value because her good, old parents served our family for a long time." He gently explained and then introduced himself. "I am Aurelius Zarral, the owner of this jewelry shop. I heard that you are interested in the job?"
"Yes." Beatrix smiled brightly, making the young master secretly admire her more.
"May I know your name, Miss? Can you also show me what you know of this business?" He started the job interview while staring intensely at her.
"Sure!" Beatrix flashed him her winning smile and introduced herself. She told and showed him the things she could do if ever she will be hired.
A few moments later, she happily came out of the jewelry shop! She needs to purchase simple clothes for her new job since she cannot use what she is normally wearing inside the Solaris Imperial Palace. She was very surprised that her new boss offered to give her advance payment for one month! She declined at first because this arrangement is unheard of but her boss insisted and told her that she should start tomorrow! She finally accepted, thinking it is probably how employers in Solaris Empire do business.
She smiled happily and excitedly. This is her first job as a commoner so she is very excited! When she ran away from home, she already considered herself a commoner! She is no longer the former Empress Beatrix, Princess Beatrix, General's Daughter Lady Beatrix, and Prime Minister's Granddaughter Lady Beatrix! Those identities are buried and do not exist anymore! Beatrix Lamoreaux is forgotten and moving forward, she will be known as Bea Lamvel, a simple jewelry shop employee in Solaris Empire!
Errol and his men secretly followed Beatrix as she entered and leave the jewelry shop.
For a womanizer like Errol, it is always a pleasure to follow a very beautiful maiden like this celestial beauty, Lady Beatrix than to follow Emperor Valentine but this secret is only known to him!
Errol shook his head and wants to feel pity for his Master as he observed and heard what happened inside the jewelry shop.
My! My! My! Lady Beatrix is truly dangerous! She could easily make men happily and voluntarily jump to their doom without even asking or doing anything... But I really cannot blame them! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
Errol thought as he secretly follows and guarded Beatrix while she is currently scrutinizing the new clothes she is about to purchase using the money she got from Aurelius Zarral.
After the court meeting, Emperor Valentine unexpectedly received a visitor, Princess Gertrude.
"Cousin, why do you look uglier now?" He teased as he saw her face looks so gloomy and haggard, very unlike her usual self.
"Hahaha. Funny! Continue making my day more miserable and I won't hold back cursing you to grow old, lonely, and miserable!!!" Princess Gertrude immediately snapped. She is really in a very bad mood after Andy went away to look for that dead woman!
"Woah! You are really mad! I am just kidding...You do not have to snap at me. Why are you in a bad mood anyway?" He curiously asked.
"Cousin, I am so glad that you successfully survived the sinking ship! Tell me, how did you make it?" Princess Gertrude changed the topic. She does not want to share her agony these days but her cousin would not let it be.
"I will only answer your question if you answer mine first! Come on! We are not strangers to each other, are we?" He nudged her to spill the beans.
