Beatrix chose to bow her head and stared at the floor instead. Prince Andrew's stare is making her so uncomfortable! It is the type of stare that will make someone suspect that he is thinking of unsavory things in his mind!

He did not change a bit! He is still very domineering, shameless, and unnerving!

She thought as she stared at the floor, not speaking anymore. She chose this method to avoid establishing any form of connection and communication. The atmosphere between them is really weird and awkward!

"Your Highness Prince Andrew and Your Highness Prince Anders, please excuse me and my wife as I think His Majesty's birthday celebration is about to start soon." Zander King broke the deafening silence and awkward situation.

Soon, the eunuch announced the arrival of the emperor and empress! Although reluctant, the two princes were forced to give way and went back to their seats. Zander helped his wife to her seat. Since the two princes are seated on his left side so he made Beatrix sit on his right side so that his body will be able to cover Beatrix!

I cannot believe that those two are so shameless and too obvious! They just recently lost a wife but judging from the way they stare at my wife, I could feel they are up to no good! It is really disturbing to think that I am their close friend and now they are acting like this! Do they think I am already dead?!!

Zander is secretly annoyed but he chose to ignore them and act as if he did not notice! Nothing good will come out if he lost his patience and manners this time. He also knew that in front of the emperor and empress, the two princes will not cross the line!

The emperor and empress were finally seated in their place, the celebration started with a ritual to thank heaven for this wonderful day. The next is the well-wishing and gift presentation. The empress is the first to provide a birthday wish and gift to the emperor, then the two princes, next is General Ardor and his wife, followed by Prime Minister Aaron, and finally, it is Minister Zander and Beatrix's turn!

The emperor and empress secretly appraised Beatrix in their mind after she was introduced by her husband and she presented her gift that greatly satisfied the emperor!

It is a pity that she got sick before! If not, she should have been a princess now... She seems to have all the qualities of a great princess and future empress! If I only knew that she would recover so well, I would make one of the princes wait for her. That way, I will be able to honor my late Imperial Father's wish! And also, the prince who marries her will have the powerful support of General Ardor and Prime Minister Aaron but it is too late now since she is already married to Minister Zander and from what I heard from General Ardor, she is already carrying a baby in her womb! Sometimes, an opportunity that was lost is truly lost forever! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

The emperor silently thought at that time as he feels great regret while appraising Beatrix but the empress feels very worried because she noticed long ago her two sons' weird longing and lingering gaze on Beatrix...

A beauty like her is the scariest! She could kill and destroy without lifting a hand! Many will be willing to die or kill for her! The beauty she possessed is truly a blessing and a curse! Probably, it is for the best that she is already married to Minister Zander and will soon become a mother. I just hope that my two sons will act responsibly according to their status and will never cross the line...

When the emperor and empress knew that Beatrix has finally recovered and will be joining the birthday celebration, they are very happy for the Lamoreaux and Marvel families! But now, the emperor feels regretful as he secretly thinks that he let his imperial father down while the empress feels so worried as she is witnessing her two sons' abnormal behavior...

The princes did not eat their food or drink any beverage. They never pay attention to the entertainment as they constantly stare in the direction where Beatrix is sitting...

Several conflicting thoughts and emotions are reigning inside the banquet hall during the entire event. In the end, the supposedly happy celebration ended with very unhappy imperial family members!
