"Yes, now that the two princes are married. You should go back now. We could arrange everything for your successful return." Lady Andrea excitedly supported her husband's suggestion.

"It is still too early for me to go back. Let them cultivate their feelings with their wife for one year and look for someone willing to marry into our family. It does not matter if his background is low. The key is his appearance, intelligence, and willingness."

"What?! Why would you marry someone lower than your status and worth?" Her mother is horrified.

"Mother, even though the princes married a wife but who could stop them from having a concubine?"

"Your daughter is right! We prevented her from becoming an imperial wife but what if she is forced to become an imperial concubine instead? That will be a waste of what we did and sacrificed." Her father explained to her mother.

"But Beatrix's future will not be bright anymore..." Her mother hesitated.

"There is nothing wrong about it, Mother. Temporary brilliance cannot compensate for eternal darkness. Look at the good side. They will not have a chance and reason to force me anymore. Another good thing is we will be together again since it is my husband who will marry into our family and not the other way around." She convinced her mother.

"Good! Very good! Let us do that!" Her mother smiled sweetly.

"The problem is...who will willingly marry the ugly General's daughter, who is ignorant, arrogant, short-sighted, and ill-tempered?" Beatrix playfully told her parents.

"Let me handle it!" Her father told her mischievously.

"Father, I want a handsome, intelligent, and gentle husband." She lovingly said to her father.

"Let me handle it. You will not suffer a bit." The General smiled mysteriously.

A month later, great news shocked the whole capital! General Ardor is looking for a handsome and intelligent gentleman who is willing to marry into his family and become his daughter's man! This gentleman should be sincere and faithful to his daughter and cannot divorce or remarry, not unless his daughter agrees to set him free!

What the heck! The General's daughter is truly shameless! She is so ugly, ignorant, and ill-tempered but would like to force someone to marry her and become her male pet?!! Is the sun going to rise in the west now?!!

Most people thought about it that way. Several families immediately arranged the engagement of their sons for fear that their precious son will be the unlucky one and be forced to marry that unlucky wretched girl! Surprisingly, there is someone who thinks otherwise and is interested to marry into the General's family...

Zander King is a very handsome, intelligent, and kind gentleman but he lacks status, wealth, and powerful support. He is an orphan coming from a commoner's family with no existing blood relatives. He dreams of becoming a high-ranking official in the future. If he successfully married the General's daughter and became General Ardor's son-in-law, his dreams will be easier to achieve!

This is truly an interesting gamble and an acceptable risk! As long as the General's daughter will not torture or kill me, I will respect her and be a good husband!!!

Zander King made an appointment with General Ardor and told the General that he is interested to marry his daughter and marry into the General's family. General Ardor is a little bit surprised that there is someone so handsome and smart who would be so dumb or smart enough to risk and volunteer! He initially thought that he needs to use his influence and force someone but it is great that someone volunteered! He investigated the origin of Zander King and finally understood that this gentleman is a smart fish who wants to bite the delicious bait covered in mud. He summoned Zander King and asked him to be honest about why he wanted to do it.

Zander King is good-natured and honest so he told the truth that he is hesitant and worried due to all the stories he heard since young but he could not let the opportunity pass by. He heard all the rumors about the gruesome, ill-tempered general's daughter possessed by an evil entity, who danced with the evil one, practiced witchcraft and sorcery, and has a hobby of slicing other girl's skin to cover her wound-infested skin and bathing in male virgin's blood to revitalize her energy! This rumor resulted in many adolescent boys who chose to lose their virginity so young in an attempt not to be chosen as the next victim. This story is effective to scare and threaten people, especially children. Zander King and his playmates experienced nightmares about it but he omits this last paragraph. He would not dare to tell the General his daughter is a monster!
