The tragic deaths of several individuals especially some of them are noble-blooded became a sensation to the whole empire! The hunting of the murderer began but the lead on the case died on its own until one day, Empress Beatrix visited the authorities who handled the case. She calmly confessed to the crime and provided all the necessary evidence she possessed that will make sure of her incarceration. She chose not to involve Prince Anders and told them that everything is planned and done by her!

Emperor Andrew and Prince Anders were arguing in the court meeting when each of their trusted people whispered in their ear. They immediately panicked when they heard about it! Emperor Andrew dismissed the court meeting and immediately went to where Beatrix is jailed!

"Beatrix, why did you turn yourself in?!!" Emperor Andrew immediately asked her when they are already alone.

"I am tired." She simply replied and did not talk anymore. She also provided the same reason to Prince Anders when he asked her...

Emperor Andrew and Prince Anders want to prevent the spread of the news but it was already too late! The information was already spread to everyone in the capital that Empress Beatrix is the mastermind of the mass murder! The evidence against her is valid and concrete! Within a few days after her confession, Emperor Andrew was forced to sentence her to death! The latter was sleepless for several nights and racked his brain on how he will be able to save Beatrix's life...

The next scene was the conversation between Emperor Andrew and his shadow guards.

"Make sure that you successfully replace the deadly poison with 'sleeping death poison'!" Emperor Andrew gave his secret command to his shadow guards.

The person who will ingest 'sleeping death poison' will experience a dormant state for one month. The body temperature will be low while the breathing, heart rate, and metabolic rate will stop. It mimics a dead person but after one month from the time of ingestion, the body will warm up again as the heart rate, breathing, and metabolic rate activates. That is the time, the person who ingested this special poison will wake up again.

This poison is very rare. According to the legend, there were only three bottles produced by some unknown poison master. It is said that the two bottles were already consumed! It is truly a blessing that Emperor Andrew possessed the last one!

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The shadow guards replied.

The next scene jumped to the time after Prince Anders secretly visited Beatrix in the prison offering her the option to run away with him and escape her sentence. After Beatrix turned down his offer, he secretly exited the prison and went back to his mansion. He did a tour inside his mansion, the place he designed to fit both his needs and Beatrix's preferences in hope that one day, they will stay there together with their children...

Prince Anders recalled all the things that happen from the first day he met Beatrix until that night when he offered Beatrix to run away with him and escape her sentence. He felt so sad that Beatrix turned him down until the end. He is willing to leave everything behind for her but she chose to stay...

Why can't you love me and stay with me, Beatrix? Why does Imperial Brother always defeat me one way or another?

He finished touring his mansion and finally went to his bedroom. He smiled as he produced a bottle and drank its content before lying down in bed.

Beatrix, if we cannot be together in this lifetime then I will accompany you in the afterlife...

Prince Anders closed his eyes contentedly and peacefully slept!

The next scene was the execution day, Emperor Andrew was not able to sleep peacefully for several days...

First, Beatrix turned herself in so he did everything to cover up the exposed evidence and even tried to silence several people but it was already too late!

His next attempt was to lessen her sentence but he also failed when several powerful families, officials, and the commoners with the help of Cloud Empire threatened to revolt if justice is not properly served!

His final plan was to give her the 'sleeping death poison'. Once everyone thought that Empress Beatrix is dead and buried, he will have her body secretly exhumed and taken to his secret underground chamber inside the imperial palace, specifically below the Emperor's courtyard! This way, he will be able to save Beatrix's life and continue to be with her even though he has to hide her for the rest of her life!
