Mother and I were at a small store, even if it was a small business it was quite popular

We walked around just looking for something that peeked our interest

My eyes slightly widened when I found something I hadn't tried in a long time

"Ama me lo comprase?" I asked she turned around and gave me the stare

I quickly put it back knowing she wouldn't buy it

She gasped "Comadre!?" "Ah! Hola comadre como has estado!?"

I curled up into a ball and faked cried knowing we were staying here for hours

I shot my eyes open

I opened the window and jumped on the roof, I ran to the back of the house, I jumped off and lifted my leg to hit Boruto's head

Boruto pushed Kawaki away and held his arms to his head to prevent a head injury

Kawaki got behind him and got ready to strike when we were all stopped by Naruto

"All right stop right there"

Kawaki and I just stared at our food, not daring to touch it "Is the food not to your liking?" Hinata asked both of us

My mother always told me to be respectful when someone cooks for you, I just smiled at her before eating

I ignored the conversation about the vase situation, I really don't get what's so important about it

Then again I don't find anything important other than Kawaki, the dog, and myself

Kawaki stared at me

I slightly shook my head

I sat on the stairs outside the house

I ran my fingers through the dogs fur while my head rested on my free hand

"I really don't get why you care so much"

"I'm only doing this so that kid leaves me alone" Kawaki responded

I stood up "Or maybe your starting to warm up to these people, your thinking you might find comfort in this household. Do I need to remind you what happened last time you warmed up to someone?"

Kawaki stayed silent and kept moving forward

"Your not allowed to go out without supervision"

Naruto said as he stood in front of Kawaki

I stood up as well following Kawaki

"Is there anything you guys would like to eat?" Hinata asked

Kawaki turned his head "How the hell should I know?" He said and kept on walking

Naruto turned towards me "Are you not going?" I shook my head no "Well okay then" he said and closed the gate

I move my eyes to the up right corner where his clone was

I shoved a recipe towards Hinata "Pozole that's what we'll be making" I said and walked out

Hinata smiled and followed after. Maybe this was a way to get to know you better, get to know your likes and dislikes.

After getting everything both of you started cooking. You telling Hinata how much of every ingredient is needed and her having you taste test

"You and the boy must have gone through alot"

"He did. Not me"

Hinata tilted her head to the side "What happened?" I looked at her "That's for him to tell you, not me"

I'm in no right to talk about Kawaki's trauma, especially without permission.

"Thank you for helping me uh-"

"Welcome home, you must be hungry. Foods ready-" Kawaki walked past Hinata and tched I jumped on him giving him a head lock

"Hey! Let go of me!" Kawaki yelled as he started losing his balance. He ended up stumbling into the living room and falling on the couch

"She said" I tightened my grip "Foods ready!" "All right all right! Just let go!" I let go of him and he immediately sat up coughing and gasping for air

He turned to glare at me while I just stared at him. His eyes slightly soften when he looked at your eyes.

Such lifeless eyes.

He wonders, what happened for you to lose that shine. Did it have to do with Jigen? The experiments? Karma? Training?

I helped hinata dry the dishes while she washed them "It's okay you don't have to do th-" "My mom always said to help out when invited as a guest"

I layed my back against the front of the couch, the dog  curled up against my side and fell asleep.

"Get up here" I turn to face Kawaki and smirk "What? Can't sleep without my body warmth?" He tched and glared at me

" I just have some manners left in me"

"Yeah yeah"

I get up and sit on the couch. I pull up the covers. Kawaki's head layed on my shoulder. I don't quite mind, it's been a while since we've been able to sleep in peace.

I rest my head on top of his.

'I wonder, when was the last time I've felt such warmth?'

Naruto and I stayed back and heard Kawaki talk to Boruto, about his story and my story

I follow Kawaki outside "Here I am, refusing to tell your story without permission, while you go and give my story without a second thought"

He kept quiet. I tched "Your lucky Naruto payed me not to harm you" a shiver went down his spine

"Come on, let's go steal-" I coughed "I mean buy a new vase"

"Allow me to show you around the village then"
