We ate peacefully

Himawari and I stared at each other and nodded before smiling

I'm quite happy, that I've been able to create a bond with her and not scare her away

But the thought of losing this bond because of the marbles is. . .

"Did someone eat the ham?"

I shook my head and kept eating, stuffing my mouth so I wouldn't have to respond

"You do realize that Boruto is some how gonna convince you to stay right?" I asked Kawaki

"He's always in my damn business, it wouldn't surprise me"

I Sighed before giving him a quick kiss on the temple

I backed away quickly and covered my face in embarrassment "I'll be back later bye" I said and ran out

"Wait-!"

I slam the door close and run outside, Zuko following after

"Ne Y/n? Why is you're face so red?"

I panicked "Well, it's uh, quite hot outside"

We turn the corner and both jumped when we were face to face with Kawaki

"What- what are you doing here!?" I asked

"I figured you were up to something since you ki-"

I knock him down to the ground covering his mouth "We don't speak about that ever, understand?"

He nodded and I uncovered his mouth, he sat up and gave us a questioning look "What are you two up to anyways?"

Himawari and I looked at each other, debating whether we should tell him or not

I nodded and she got the hint

"We named it Jaggy because it has jaggy ears!"

"That's a shitty name" Kawaki muttered "Hm? Did you say something?" Hima asked

"It was just the wind" I said and nudged Kawaki with my elbow

"Jaggy is kinda shy so try not to startle him"

"Who is-" I cover Kawaki's mouth while making a shh gesture

Zuko ran out of the bushes and jumped on Jaggy, licking his face while wagging it's tail

I took Himawari's backup and walked towards them

She gave him the sausages and petted him

I took the backpack and signaled Kawaki to follow me

We stopped in front of trees that had some type of fruit

I placed the backpack down and started collecting them, the ones from the top of course, dad always said that the best fruit is always at the top

Kawaki placed the backpack on a nearby branch

I was too distracted to notice what he was doing until he lifted me up and placed me on his shoulders

(Kawaki is a strong man 💪so don't say that he wouldn't be able to carry you)

"It's been a while since we've been able to spend time alone together"

I smiled, it makes me happy to know he's also been craving some time alone

"It has hasn't it?"

He tched "Boruto just doesn't know when to mind his own damn business"

He kept ranting about how Boruto was annoying and should give both of us space

I just agreed with him

"But. . ."

I stopped what I was doing "But?" I asked

"Y/n, I've been thinking, do you-"

"Y/n! Kawaki! Here you guys are" Kawaki placed me down

I handed the bag to Himawari and she ran back to Jaggy

"Anyways, what were you saying?" I asked as we walked back together "It's nothing, I forgot"

The next day

Zuko wasn't around and I'm getting worried something might have happened to him

"Y/n-san!" I turn to see Hima and Kawaki, maybe Zuko is with Jaggy

I followed them where Jaggy should be, but he wasn't there

"Jaggy! Zuko!!"

We found them both a couple of minutes later, one crying, and one dead.

Himawari cried while I dug a hole with the help of Zuko and Kawaki

We buried him and payed our respects Kawaki said he had something to do

He nodded at me and I nodded back, already knowing what he was gonna do.

I took out a marble and buried it. I made a clone and made it stay with Hima while I went and followed Kawaki

I stayed on the roof watching how Kawaki was gonna handle the situation he's in

Kawaki's POV

"What about Y/n!? What do you think she'd say about this!?" Boruto yelled

"What would she think?" I form my hand into a fist "She'd be in my side! She's been on my side since the very beginning!"

Boruto stayed quiet

I let out a tch and walk past Shikamaru only to be stopped by his shadow paralysis

Y/n was right, they were gonna convince me to stay somehow

Back to Y/n. . .

"There" I said as I finished putting the last flowers in the grave "What do you think Hima?" I said as I turned to see her

She gave me a small smile "It's pretty" I pat her head "Mom once told me, that you'll make the friend you lost sadden if you keep frowning because of it's loss"

Kawaki appeared, just watching us, I gave him a smile before looking down on Hima

"So keep smiling"
