Boruto was on one knee gasping for air as he defended himself from me

My katana constantly clashing against his

"C'mon Boruto! Give in to despair! Get angry with me!"

His katana broke and just as I was about to strike at him Kawaki kicked me away

I flipped a bit, landing on my feet in front of the machine

I looked at the level of despair of the Otsutsuki

'It's complete!'

I smirked and twisted the key

But it wouldn't turn.

'What the hell!?'

I look at the level again. It was glitching.

Anger took over me

Just why the hell does Boruto keep holding back on his feelings!? I've took people important to him! Is that not enough!?

"Boruto are you okay!?" Kawaki asked

"I'm okay" he responded wiping his mouth. Boruto was trembling. Out of fear.

"I'm gonna kill her. . ."

Kawaki was slightly taken back by his words

"I swear I'll kill her"

Kawaki looked down to the ground, a drop of sweat going down his temple

"I. . . I can't let you do that" He whispered just for Boruto to hear

Boruto turned to Kawaki "What did you just say?"

"I said I won't let you kill her!" Kawaki yelled

Boruto got up and grabbed Kawaki by his collar bringing Kawaki closer to him

"Are you hearing yourself right now!? Y/n is a murderer! She killed Sumire! She killed my sister-!"

"She's also the last person I have!" Kawaki yelled back. Boruto seemed surprised by his suden outburst

"She's my lover for fucks sake! You and the others are nothing compared to what she is! So please. . . Reconsider this!"

Boruto let's go of Kawaki and faced away from him

"Kawaki I have a question for you"

Kawaki waited for Boruto to continue

"Who's gonna stop me?"

Kawaki's eyes widened and he tried to stop Boruto only to fail

"BORUTO! DON'T!"

I was caught off guard as Boruto came at me

'Shit I won't have enough time to block!'

"Y/NNNNNN!"

'No! It can't end this way!'

I shut my eyes close waiting for the impact but it never came

Instead I heard the sound of someone throwing up blood

I mentally smile at myself knowing that I've won

Borutos eyes widened, neverending tears spilled out of his eyes as he's realized what he's done

"H-Hima" He stuttered out. He pulled his weapon out and Himawari fell to her knees and into Borutos arms

"H-How can this be? Y/n said she killed you!"

Himawari moved her head from side to side

"She kept me safe"

Flashback

"Y/n-chan?" Himawari whispered. The light in her eyes disappear as the machine was inches away from her

She closed her eyes accepting her end. She slightly opened her eyes when she heard the sound of metal clashing against each other

Y/n pushed the machine back with her kunai

"I won't let you kill her Code"

Code took a spot in front of me about 5 meters away from me

2 more machines came out ready to attack

"To complete your goal you can't have things like her get in the way. It's a distraction" Code said

"Just who the hell made you in charge of my goal?"

The machines came at us with speed

"Himawari hold onto me!" I lift Hima up and carry her onto my back as I ran after Code, dodging the machines in the process

I was able to pin down Code at last. A kunai pressed against his neck

"You can have a sample of her blood. But her life belongs to me"

"Big brother. . . I missed you so much" Himawari cried out. Tears filled her eyes knowing this was her end

"You killed your own sister, Boruto" I said as I lift up my katana. Ready to kill him at last.

"This is your end!!" Just as I was about to strike a hand stopped me

I look up to see Code glaring at me

"He's mine. Go deal with your own mission" he said

I look up at the machine. Stage 2 was complete

I run to the machine and turn the key

Stage 2: Complete

Now Stage 3. This is it. I'll finally get to see them again!

My marks activated and got swallowed up by the machine as I turn the key one last time

White light came out of the machine becoming brighter and brighter

I spread my arms out

"This is it! It's finally done! Now come to me!"

The machine stopped. I lowered my arms in confusion yet my smile remained on my face

The light was glitching. Just what was happening? Was my power not good enough?

My hopes are high but my feelings are low. I turn to code "My hopes are suffocating. . ." I lift my finger at him " AND I WANT YOU ALL TO SUFFOCATE WITH THEM!"
