The basement was pretty dark, but jeongguk didn't expect anything else. The lights probably wouldn't work, the building was way to old, and of course there weren't any windows either.

So the black haired male turned on the flashlight of his phone.

Genius.

He was now able to see a long hallway with many doors.

The basement seemed to often be used when the building was still an office but now spiderwebs were everywhere and dust covered the light grey ceramic tiles.

Not exactly a place where jeongguk would voluntarily spend his time but at least the only thing he could hear was some faint music.

Definitely better than upstairs.

But would he really want to spend his night down here? There was way too much dirt for jeongguk's liking.

Were the loud noises the better option after all?

Jeongguks decided to look through the rooms first before he left this place again. Perhaps there was a clean room with maybe a couch of something.

Who knows what this basement has been used for.

He had always been on the top floors before, he just felt more comfortable there. And no one could watch him through the windows.

Carefully jeongguk opened the first door to his right.

The light from his phone wouldn't let him see the whole room but he assumed that it was rather large.

To jeongguk's surprise this seemed to be a small gym or something because he recognized many of the gadgets from a visit at the gym some months ago.

But sadly, the gym looked even worse than the hallway.

Jeongguk would have probably been able to lay down on one of the benches but the dirt prevented him from doing so.

There even were some small bugs crawling around in some corners.

The angel would definitely not stay here for a whole night.

So he closed the door rather quickly before going to the next one.

But there wasn't a success waiting for him either. It was just a small storage room for cleaning supplies, he wouldn't even fit in there with his wings. Annoyed and tired he moved to the next door.

Surprisingly, the door was locked from the outside, but jeongguk just had to move a bar and the door would open without any problems.

He had tucked his phone into his back pocket to open the door with both hands, so he expected the room to be as dark as the ones before.

But when he saw a light blue shine in the room he nearly lost his breath.

Was someone in there?

Why?

And for how long?

The door had been locked before!

Carefully, jeongguk tried to see a little more of the room without opening the door too far.

He didn't want to let anything escape, there must have been a reason to lock whatever inside there is up.

Maybe a murderer?

Or a dangerous criminal?

He didn't know what the old gang leader did with them.

The basement seemed like a reasonable option to lock someone dangerous away.

With all those thoughts in his head, jeongguk froze when he heard a silent voice.

"Hello?"

And jeongguk slammed the door shut as fast as possible.

He was going to get a gun.

I find so many weird spelling mistakes while reading through this... it's sad. I'm even using the automatic correction or whatever this is called.
