Jeongguk eventually managed to get taehyung out of his clothes, now standing in the wet sand with his pants pulled up to his knees, the water reaching his ankles.

They decided that as soon as taehyung would enter the water, the angel would grab his hoodie and take it off of him so it wouldn't get wet.

They totally should have brought spare clothes.

But they didn't.

So now taehyung was standing on the still dry sand, without his pants, only covered by the oversized hoodie. It nearly reached his mid thigh though, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

They were aware that they had quite a big audience.

Three people to be exact.

And one of them would probably pass out if they realized they weren't pranked. That someone being hoseok.

Who thought it would be a good idea to let him stay?

"Okay, taehyung, come here now!" Jeongguk called the mermaid softly, getting ready for the coming, mentally and physically.

Said male nodded and nervously walked towards the water, starting to hop a little as soon as he felt the wetness of the sand underneath his feet.

He stopped right in front of jeongguk, looking down watch the skin of his legs turn into his shiny blue tail.

It almost looked as if it got soaked with water.

And let me tell you, just seeing this transformation was quite a disturbing experience for jeongguk.

He would probably have to get used to it if he wanted to continue helping taehyung.

But even contemplating about that was out of question. Jeongguk had really grown to like the mermaid over the past weeks and he would not leave him alone in the basement again.

And if that meant watching taehyung turn into his mermaid-self again, then he would do that.

In addition to that, he was pretty sure that his own transformation wasn't exactly pleasing to watch either.

Leaving the mermaid didn't even come to his mind, it never was an option in the first place.

As soon as taehyung's legs gave in and disappeared, jeongguk grabbed the hem of the hoodie so the mermaid could slip out of it.

And it only took a couple more seconds for him to fully transform, now sitting in the shallow water.

It didn't even reach his waist though.

But taehyung smiled, his whole face seemed to be shining along with his tail.

He was finally in the ocean again, after almost a year.

He didn't think he would be able to be here ever again.

"Thank you, bye bye!" Taehyung giggled, smiling at jeongguk.

Then he started wiggling around to reach the deeper water, probably as graceful as a fish on land.

Not that graceful.

"Wait!" Jeongguk yelled after him. "You will come back, right?" He was actually pretty worried for a moment.

But the mermaid just laughed.

"Of course, I was just going to swim around a little. The ocean is not my actual home either, so no point in just leaving now and spent the rest of my life lonely." He shrugged while floating around in the water, it was a little deeper now.

Jeongguk was relieved.

"Make sure to not stay too long, maybe two or three hours, okay?"

They couldn't stay the whole night, they had to go back eventually.

Taehyung nodded happily and waved with his tail one last time before disappearing in the ocean.

Softly smiling, jeongguk made his way back to his friends who still were waiting further up the beach.

Hoping, that they calmed jimin's cousin down and he wasn't faced with the next chaos.

Thanks for the reads, were at 1,25k at the moment, yayyy!

Also, should I beg for comments? I always do the opposite when someone asks for comments, but apparently it works for most authors.

Probably won't do it though because I would feel stupid afterwards.
