Walking through town

While Mei was sleeping on an early morning, I followed Belle out of her house to see what was there. The birds were chirping and the sun was rising up now.

It's so beautiful...I marveled in thought. It reminded me of when I was bonding with Lucy, Johanna and Jillian...when I was bonding with little Mary...and it also reminded me of Mei. Before she went to preschool, the sweet girl would be with her mother around Lakewood and she would marvel at the amazing things. A butterfly would fly on her nose. I smiled fondly.

Little town
It's a quiet village
Everyday like the one before
Little town
Full of little people
Waking up to say...

I looked around to see if her neighbors were awake yet.

Some began opening their windows, others were popping out of chimney stacks, one was in the center with wood for shackles. Felt sorry for the old lad.

Bonjour!
Bonjour!
Bonjour! Bonjour!
Bonjour!

I saw a baker with his tray and I immediately thought of Mrs. Lovett. She would be making pies...fruit pies, of course...not the carnage pies.

There goes the baker with his tray like always
The same old bread and rolls to sell
Every morning just the same
Since the morning that we came
To this poor provincial town...Belle observed as she walked.

"Good morning, Belle!" The baker greeted.

"Morning, monsieur!"  Belle smiled.

"Where are you off to?" He asked.

"The book shop, I just heard the most wonderful story, about a beanstalk and an ogre—" Belle started to explain.

"I know that one, Jack and the Beanstalk, eh?" I asked.

"Oh, that's nice...MARIE!! THE BAGUETTES!! HURRY UP!" The baker shook his head bored and yelled to the lady inside the pie shop.

Look, there she goes, that girl is strange no question
Dazed and distracted, can't you tell? The women villagers asked. A lad was messing with the pigs and the mother pig chased after him.

We passed some neighbors and a barber whom was cutting hair. He mistakenly chopped off his client's mustache.

Never part of any crowd
Cause her head's upon some cloud
No denying she's a funny girl
That Belle!

Bonjour!

Good day! The neighbors greeted.

How is your family? I sang out to some townsfolk.

Bonjour!

Good day!

How is your wife?

A female villager took a rolling pin and clobbered the male villager on the head.

A villager was carrying three little babies.

I need six eggs!

That's too expensive!

We were going to the library to pick out a book.

There must be more than this provincial life! Belle sang out as we both walked in the book shop.

"Morning, sir!" I greeted.

"Ah, Belle!" The librarian smiled.

"Good morning! I've come to return the book I've borrowed." Belle greeted as she browsed.
