I didn't expect Lila to be this petty.

Ladybug runs across the wall while aiming her yo-yo at the same time. All around her are the sounds of muffled screams and car alarms going off. But the rising cloud of debris a couple streets in front of her tells her where she should go.

Lila must've let Hawkmoth akumatize her. Maybe it's in the ring... But why would she go that far?
Does she really hate me so much she would endanger all these people?

Ladybug skids to a stop on the current building she's on. Her last thought surprised her. I guess...I guess part of this is my fault. I should have watched what I said about her.

She quickly shakes her head and pushes her thoughts to the back of her mind.
Now's not the time for that. Lila made her choice. Now I have to stop her before anyone gets hurt.

Ladybug heads in the direction of the Grand Paris Hotel. She pulls her yo-yo and flips mid-air to land on the railing of the roof. She hops off the railing, looking for anything suspicious. But nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. The pool, the white lounge chairs, the pink umbrellas. All the same. However, she doesn't let the appearance of the roof trick her.

"You're a little late, don't you think?"

The heroine turns around so fast her neck hurts. If her trip here wasn't enough to boost her adrenaline, seeing the owner of the voice definitely was. "I actually wouldn't have come at all. But of course, I had to clean up after you," Ladybug says. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like that ring back."

Lila rolls her eyes. "Can you cut down on the determination a bit? It's making me sick."

Before Ladybug can respond, the other girl pounces at her. She jumps to the side while also taking her yo-yo out. Lila smirks at the heroine's quick reaction, and a ball of black mist forms in her hands. Ladybug backflips out of reach just as the cataclysm hits one of the lounge chairs. That's when she's hit with memories she forgot she had.

Lila's power...it reminds me of Chat Blanc.

The sudden flashback creates a knot in her stomach, one that she tries to ignore. What she saw in the future doesn't matter. She had stopped it from happening anyway. Now, she has to focus on the present. "Look, I know you're angry, but working with Hawkmoth isn't worth it."

The two girls circle each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. Another ball of black mist forms in Lila's hand. Without even looking, she throws the cataclysm downwards and it hits a sidewalk below. "I'm so tired of this," she hisses. "When will you get it through your head? I. Don't. Care."

Ladybug's yo-yo stops spinning and drops in her hands. "What about Alice?" she asks, anger in the back of her voice. "The only reason I'm even still talking to you right now is because of her. Even after all the horrible things you've done, she still wanted to try reasoning with you. "

Lila taps her chin, making it look like she's thinking. Suddenly, a cheshire-cat grin breaks out on her face. "It looks like that was her mistake." This time, she takes a cataclysm in both of her hands. "Once I'm done with you, maybe I should deal with her for good measure."

Ladybug pauses to take a deep breath and looks her rival dead in the eye.

"You know, Alice never deserved someone like you for a sister."

The cataclysms instantly fade out. Lila's expression is unreadable, but Ladybug knows she definitely pushed a button. Lila looks up, her eyes shooting daggers at Ladybug. If looks could kill, the superhero would've dropped dead right there.
