Ranboo laid on his back in bed.The day had dragged by slowly and painfully.
His mother had emerged from her room a few hours later having regained composure.
She and Ranboo buried the king's body in the court yard under the large tree next to the bench.
They hadn't decided yet how to tell the kingdom.
They hadn't decided a lot of things.
After the burial the castle was filled with a tense silence. Even the bird song that typically rang through the many castle corridors seemed to be absent today.
Ranboo had gone up to his room and filled out the rest of his journal with retellings of the last few weeks.
Now, Ranboo lay wide away, his mind jumbled with meaningless thoughts.
Ranboo was jerked out of his sorry state when he heard a clacking noise on his balcony.
Ranboo sat up and looked around "What was that?" He asked under his breath.
Suddenly, there was another clacking noise.
Ranboo got up and walked across his room to the ivory coloured archway.
He pushed back the curtains that draped elegantly down and walked outside. It was even colder tonight than it had been this morning.
He noticed some rocks on the balcony. He studied them for a moment and then walked to the guard railings and leaned over with his head.
Looking down at the ground he spotted a familiar blond haired boy waving "HEYYYYYY B*TCH!!!!" Tommy greeted by adding an ever so formal curse word at the end.
Ranboo couldn't help but laugh "Tommy!!" He called down "What the heck are you doing here!?"
Tommy waved him off dismissively "Get a coat on and meet me down here!"
Ranboo, unable to find any reason why he shouldn't hurried back inside and threw on a coat.
He ran back out to the balcony "I'll be down in a sec' !" He called "I'll use the courtyard exit."
Tommy snickered "Too afraid to jump?" Ranboo ignored the offensive cuss word that the blond decided to throw in after a second.
"Of course I'm afraid to jump! It's like a fifteen foot drop!!! I'd break my legs!"
Ranboo ignored whatever Tommy said next and a few moment later met the blond outside the courtyard fence.
Tommy grabbed his hand "Follow me, stay close. Don't make eye contact with anyone."
Ranboo's breath hitched. What was going on????
Tommy's dramatic act was spoiled though when he gave a soft snicker.
"You're so gullible."
Ranboo opened his mouth but decided better against saying anything.
Tommy dragged Ranboo through some woods and Ranboo wondered if he was about to get brutally murdered.
Before he could voice his concern Tommy said "Listen." He said turning to face the slightly taller Ranboo "What I'm about to show you is top secret. You tell anyone and I'll murder you in your sleep!"
Ranboo stepped backwards and suddenly Tubbo appeared from behind a tree "Tommy," He scolded "Don't threaten the poor lad!"
He leaned closer to Tommy's ear and Ranboo could just make out what he whispered "Plus, what if the rumours are true..."
