The next three days were dull, Ranboo had soon fell into the repetitive pattern of waking up, helping out at boot camp, and staying up all night training.

Tubbo and Tommy spent their every waking training for the unimaginable, they ran laps, Tubbo struggled through, Tommy, as expected, got into many fights that his older brother constantly had to drag him out of.

Wilbur took a day to rest and joined Techno in training more soldiers. Some of the most experienced soldiers from Wilbur's army also became leaders.

Ranboo was training early in the fourth morning since Wilbur's arrival.  His mind wandered to the two brothers. He wished they could be playing together again, what he wouldn't give to be up in that tree laughing at stupid jokes with immature Tommy, or pointing out the brightest stars with little Tubbo.

He gripped the bow in his hand so hard his knuckled turned white.

Ranboo exhaled slowly and relaxed himself.

He shot two arrows at his target in the span of a second and his eyes, which were narrowed in concentration shone proudly as they both hit their targets, one on one tree, the other on a tree that stood at a 90° angle from it.

Ranboo grabbed an arrow out of his quiver and focused on a seagull that had perched in a low branch.

That would be a nice surprise for his mother.

He drew back the string and prepared to let it fly when a twig snapping alerted the sleek grey and white marbled bird to his unexpected guest.

It gave a loud squawk and flapped away.

Ranboo whipped around and pointed the arrow at the bushes "Who's there?"

No response.

Ranboo scanned the surrounding underbrush and hissed "Who's there! I've got a bow and I'm not afraid to use it."

A rather pleasant alto voice rang out "Seagull tastes terrible anyways." Ranboo's eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"Darryl, what business do you have coming back here?" He said letting his bow gather slack for the sake of his muscles.

Darryl stepped out of the bushes, he was still as intimidating as ever, the demon was seven and a half feet tall, he had white eyes with slits for pupils, his long skinny tail dragged behind him as he walked and he looked down at Ranboo "I have changed my mind about joining."

Ranboo stared slack-jawed "W-What? For real?"

Darryl nodded "Yeah, well, quite a few of my people wanted to join. My best friend included, and I wasn't about to let him go into battle defenseless."

Darryl flicked his tail "I'm not doing this for you, or your kingdom, so, don't get any mixed ideas."

Ranboo dipped his head "O-of course." He  said still mildly perplexed "So, do you want me to tell my mother... Or...."

Darryl shrugged "I was hoping my people could maybe crash here. There's about a hundred of us."

Ranboo clicked his tongue thoughtfully "That should be fine, we've got plenty of land."

Darryl nodded "That should be fine, I'll be back with the rest of my people later today, they came halfway here with me."

Ranboo glanced at the bow "Okay, do you need to rest or anything?"

Darryl's pale eyes stared at Ranboo "Does it look like I do?" He asked in a haughty voice laced with sarcasm.

Ranboo shook his head and exhaled a puff of breath into the frosty morning air "I suppose not."
