Ranboo went to grab some cups of water whilst his mother and Wilbur made themselves comfortable in the living room.Ranboo carefully walked back to them and handed them each a cup before sitting down and sipping on his own.
Ranboo set the cup down and broke the comfortable silence "I trust it wasn't too hard to get situated?"
"Not at all, our army is pretty much used to setting up camp." He leaned back and crossed his arms behind his head.
Ranboo yawned and said "That's good, I guess."
Wilbur chuckled and looked away.
Ranboo's mom cleared her throat "Prince Wilbur, I hope you know I have sent your father a letter regarding your whereabouts."
Wilbur's head snapped in her direction and something like desperateness crept in his eyes "How long ago!"
The queen shrugged "The bird is long gone by now, if that's what you're wondering."
Wilbur groaned and ran a hand through his hair "I should get going." He started to get up and Ranboo's mom grabbed his hand gently "Wilbur," she began, "Your father loves you very much, you know."
Wilbur sighed and sat back down "He doesn't give a bloody sh*t about me."
He paused "Pardon my language, but, I still stand by what I said."
He glared at his feet "Everyday all he ever talks about is the kingdom this, the kingdom that." Wilbur shook his head "I'm so bloody sick of it all." He frowned "I'm nineteen, I'm not a kid anymore, I think, I should have a say in some matters of my life."
The Queen tried her best to see things from both perspectives and she finally said "I know it may be hard to see now, but, your father, he... He is just trying to do what is right. Nobody is perfect, and there's no see rules on parenting."
She paused, "How about you talk to him. Tell him your concerns. I'm afraid there's not much I can do though."
Wilbur sighed "Yeah... Right. Talk to him..." He let out a dry laugh "That would go over well."
Wilbur stood up "Thanks for the chat, but I reckon it's getting kind of late, don't you agree?"
She nodded "Very well, go to bed, your problems will only follow you to the morning."
Wilbur glanced coldly at her and Ranboo felt his hands tighten into a fist.
Wilbur rolled his eyes and turned away "No way, I thought they'd go away in the middle of the night." His voice oozed with sarcasm.
He placed a hand on the door handle "Goodnight." He said "I'll see you in the morning." He walked out of the castle in a contempt manner.
Ranboo glanced at his mom "Do you think King Philza will pay a visit?"
She shrugged "I'm not totally sure."
Ranboo leaned into her side and she wrapped an arm around his shoulder.
She turned slightly so she could kiss the top of Ranboo's head "You should get some rest." She said in a gentle voice "Lord knows you'll need it."
He nodded silently and said "Only if you get some sleep too."
She smiled softly "Okay, I promise to sleep, after you do."
Ranboo pretended to consider this "Just go to bed." He finally said with a laugh "Love you, mom."
She rubbed his back "Love you too, Ranboo."
He stood up and departed to his room.

Wow... I'm so sorry for such a short chapter I feel like this is more of a continuation of the chapter before this tbh. Last chapter I was exhausted and didn't feel like writing anymore, but I also wanted to get another chapter out so I could stay on schedule. So I just kinda published what I had. .. I haven't really had much time to write since, and when I do, I have writer's block. I think I'll take a break from publishing for a week or so. I haven't run out of plot ideas or anything like that. I actually know how the whole story is going to go. It's just a matter of writing it all. Tysm for reading this so far, I would greatly appreciate some feedback, and I hope I can get back on schedule soon <3 have a great day/night!
