The week went on endlessly. No matter how hard I had tried to avoid the blue-eyed heart breaker, I saw him everywhere I went. I couldn't stand the sight of him. It was sickening to the stomach, knowing the whole time he had me under his toxic spell, his eyes were on someone else.

I walked to my locker and struggled to push my books inside. I tried to close the door and they kept slipping in the way. I saw a hand reach over and push the books down and the locker shut smoothly.
"Hey." I glance up, relieved to find, not charming blue eyes, but a pair of loving hazel ones. Ashton. A happy dimpled smile to brighten my day.
"Hey." I managed to choke out, shooting him a fake smile. We walked out of the school doors without another word.
"Are you okay? I heard about what Luke did; a pretty dick move, if I do say so myself." He broke the silence.
I attempted to smile, whilst I felt the lump in my throat about to well out of me. "I-I'm fine, I j-just... I-" my voice cracked into pieces and tears flooded my view. Ash automatically pulled me into his chest. I knew he didn't know what to say. It was silent, a nice silence.
"I'm sorry, Ell." He whispered. Silence surrounded us once again.
"Ash don't tell anyone, but I think..." I sniffled as I backed off his chest. I dozed off thinking about his beautiful voice, his warmth, his florecent blue irises, his cheeky lip-ring smile, him. Then I continue, "I think I'm in love with him."
"You'll both get back together soon. I know it. Everyone knows it. He never shuts up about you too."
"Yeah," I slightly grinned as he began to walk away. "Oh and Ash," he turned on his heel. "Thanks." He nodded in response and turned around, back on his way.

It's a long weekend. I never despised a long weekend in my whole life, until now. All I'll be doing is trying to cope over what Luke and I could've been. I thought of this weekend for the longest time, and how I would spend it with Luke. Now I'm alone. I'm not fine with that. The sound of loneliness is excruciating. I can't stand it.
A phone call interrupts my thoughts. My first call since I hooked up the telephone. I felt like a little kid again, being excited for something like a phone call.
I picked up the phone. not looking at the Caller ID. "Hello?" I questioned, a slight smile peaking at my lips. Sniffles is all I hear. My smile disapears. "Um, who is this?" I ask, frowning. Moments pass until the sniffles clear up. "Ellicity, it's Mom, something horrible has happened."

I walked to the local Starbucks, with my head hanging low, and my hair carelessly covering my facial features. I sighed deeply, reaching in the shop. The sweet chocolate and mocha scent was no longer present, instead it was replaced by strong-smelling, black, bitter coffee aroma. The mood of my heart made my senses feel darker, colder, and sadder.
I ordered my usual drink and sat at a window bar table. I buried my head in my arms as I stared out of the glass pane. I see a tall teen run to the door and then I hear it swing open. I ignored it and marveled my drink, twisting the straw in every-which-way. I took a sip and felt the coldness slide down my throat. I closed my eyes enjoying the sweet coffee.
A large figure sat next to me. I opened my eyes, with my eyebrows crunched in uncertainty as to who it was. I look up. Luke. "Lu-" I began harshly before he interrupted. "Elli, before you say anything, I hope that you're aware that I have no feelings for Chelsea. You know I tend to drink more than anyone could possibly handle. I was drunk when I got together with Chelsea. I went to a party of a friend's friend, and she was there and took advantage of me. You're the only one for me. You're the only one I want. "You're the only one I need."
Tears that had been scratching at the insides of my eyes the moment he entered the room finally poured out. "Luke you are the most frustrating boy I've laid my eyes upon, yet the most mesmerizing and intoxicating one I've ever hopelessly fallen for." He pulled me into a hug. "I'm so sorry I hurt you. If I knew what I was doing, I would never have forgiven myself, let alone think you'd forgive me either." "I'd gladly forgive your stupidity any day, because you mean that much to me." I giggled. Then I remembered the news my mom had told me the day before. "Luke can you come over today?" I asked shakey-voiced. "Of course."

He drove us to my apartment and I unlocked the door and walked in. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some Smarties. I jumped onto the couch. "I need to tell you something..." I said so quietly, I could barely hear it. "Shoot." He stated, plopping onto my couch, beside me. "My s-sister... she just.. there was a car... she didn't se-" I was uncontrollably shaking. "She died yesterday." My face was staring at the coffee table, expressionless. Luke wrapped his arms around me and laid me on his lap. "I'm here for you, and I'll always be here. If you need to see your parents, I'll pay, I'll go with you, I'll do anything for you." He held my face, staring into my eyes. Those were the words I really needed at the moment. "Thanks Luke, really." I kissed him on the cheek and buried my head into his neck.
His voice was raspy and nasally like mine, "Ell?" He looked down. "Yes?" I looked up at his smiling face. "I love you." He tightened the hug. I smiled. "I love you, Luke." The four words rolled off my tongue like they were destined to be said.I love Luke Hemmings.
