Ephesians 1:7 NIV

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

"How 'bout we perform we perform somewhere else?" Reiji asked with a grin.

It's been a week, and we've been working on this one song. It's a start on who God is, and we've taken in some elements from a song from back home. Vlad doesn't like it 'coz he's kicked out with the no percussion.

Anubis nodded. "Where?"

"On top of the artificial lake!"

I scrunched my eyebrows. "On top of? You mean, on a bridge that goes over the lake?"

Ikuto grabbed my shoulders. "Nope! If it's the lake in Lake Forest, he really means on top of."

I jumped slightly. "Jeez Ikuto! You scared me!" He's been surprising me all week. We should probably get something that says that he's in the room. "But how do we stand on top of it?"

Ikuto grinned evilly. "You'll get your clothes wet and-"

"Pervert!" I yelled, trying to slap him. He, unprepared, ducked just in time to not receive it.

Someone coughed. I turned to see that Daichi had taken over. "What Ikuto means is that your sites and likely socks would get wet. Magic on the lake will let us walk on it, but still be six inches deep into the water."

Oh. But Reiji came back on. He grabbed what looked like regular roller blades and said, "Let's go!"

Running on the artificial lake calms my nerves. I hope that my boyfriend won't find me here. I accidentally broke the picture giver of his dead and favored sister. I just ran away, not knowing what he was going to say.

But I see some kids setting up a music performance. It's not rare, but I just stop to listen for some strange reason.

Four people are setting up. The fifth one, a boy, is just sitting down looking depressed. The only girl in the group taps the microphone. "Hi, we're the band Come. We usually perform at the Shadow into Light Inn-"

A boy takes the mike. "It's about two kilometers east, and we have really good Kula sushi."

Everyone laughs at that. Even I chuckle.

The girl takes the mike from him, who just shrugs and walks back to his piano keys.

"Err... yes." The girl says. "Anyways, we want to perform a song for you. It's about our God and how great he is, and it's called 'In Him'."

The boy starts playing the piano. It's slow, and I don't pay attention to the words. I hear a "my eyes are opened" and "can you see it too?", but that's about it. Nothing entertaining.

That's until the chorus.

At the start of the chorus, the boy who was sitting down stood up and started dancing. He put emphasis on the first counts and on the words.

At this point, there was a crowd gathering. They gasped in awe as the boy grabbed my hand and we danced. There was a crescendo of vocalization here.

We danced for a little while, as the violin and guitar were blasting away. That's when I finally paid attention to the words.

"For everyone lost in the sinful world,
For everyone, wandring aimlessly,
For every spirit that feels guilty,
I can tell you that he loves you.
In him there's Redemption."
