Psalm 5: Hope

45 5 11

For this song, it's just to the tune of it. The real video is quite sad, but it reminds us that all around us, no matter where we are, there are people hurting. I'm basing Neutron's vision in the way of the real video.

Job 11:13-18 NIV

“Yet if you devote your heart to him and stretch out your hands to him, if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.

Neutron

It was nighttime. And baka (A/N Japanese for idiot. For those who've read chapter thirty six of the Caravan of Hope, Daiko used this word a lot.) enough to actually go back to the inn.

I don't know why I went. Maybe it's because I'm stubborn. But I took on a black haired, buff lady just in case.

Everyone was gathering in front of the band. Mind you, the crowd was huge; no more than thirty people. And I stood all the way in the back.

Elsa went up and tapped the microphone, then started to speak. "Err... hi. I'm not very good at speeches, but I'll try my best!"

Yeah, that response was cheesy; even she could tell as she blushed and looked at the ground. But it sure did get a lot of hoots and cheers from the crowd.

She smiled a little. "Anyway, there is a book in the big book of our faith, the Bible, named Job. In it, a man who was very faithful to God was being tested. In the test, God basically took all of Job's successes from him; his job, his health, even his beloved children. And when his friends stayed behind, one told him that no matter what troubles have or will come, trust in God no matter what. And you know what? It's true! If you put your faith in God, no matter what happens, you will be alright. This next song is about the hope we have in God, and it's based off what Job's friend said to him."

Like I said, cheesy. But the crowd liked it, so I could see how they gathered such a big crowd.

But that's when she sang:

"When the days are cold
And the dark takes hold,
And it always seems
You're not free of guilt
When chains weigh you down
And dreams go astray
Promises not kept
Not sure who to trust.

I want you to face the truth,
To stand strong, face your fears
And stand firm through it all,
Doubt, unsureness, stand tall.
No matt'r what demon will come
'Member he's by your side.
Through pain and suffering
Even through brightest light.

When you're on your knees
Just look into his eyes.
There is hope inside, yeah so much hope inside.
Devote your heart to him,
And stretch out your hands now
To where our hope should lie,
In our loving God's hands. "

And I started to cry. It was all that I listened to of the song, but the lyrics were tearjerkers, for they were what I needed. What I needed was hope, hope that someone would like me even with my tsundereitis.

I remembered with the song that when I was younger, people used to tease me, and I grew so angry that I could hardly control my tsundereitis. A couple of years ago, I learned to control it better, and I met a cute, really nice guy who asked me out on a date.

And I was so happy and overwhelmed with joy that with a big smile on my facen the words that came out of my mouth were, No, I hate you!
