As I have said, I hate writing this one since it's my least favorite Jeremiah chapter. However, a lot of interesting and important stuff happens, so here you go. Please pay attention because it'll probably explain a lot later in the main story
---------------
Hello, I am Daniel, formerly known as Job and Luke and Jeremiah.
Last time you saw me, I killed myself. Now I'm six years old in a Spanish town on the Mediterranean coast. This is the life after Job.
Now, you might be wondering why I'm telling this story of when I'm a little kid, when the other lives had been as an adult. You might be thinking that I'm delusional, since nothing special could ever happen when you're six, right?
Wrong. There were four important things in this life.
The first of them happened when I was six.
-------
This time, I was a glum six year old. I was missing Elsa badly. I often went in the streets by myself, wondering what could happen now.
And God sent a miracle for me.
A kid my age was running down the street that I was on, and we bumped into each other. "Ouch...." I mumbled. I then took a good look at the kid and froze.
If you took a good look at him, lengthened his hair a bit and made him about ten years older, he would look just like......
"Elsa?" I said out loud.
The kid laughed. "You're calling me a girl!" He said fluently in beautiful Spanish, just like how Elsa did. "No, my name is José de la Cruz."
De la Cruz... Wait that last name... "Are you related to a Ricardo de la Cruz?"
"Sí, he is my stepfather."
My son... No wonder he looks so much like Elsa!
José looked at me and grinned. "Say, you look interesting! I've heard of blond hair, but I've never seen it before. You wanna be my friend?"
I should've said no. That was the most reasonable thing to do. But... Ricardo's words were haunting... That I was a coward.
I'm glad I wasn't rational that day.
"Sure." We shook hands, and that was the day I became friends with my son.
-------
The second time I was fifteen or sixteen years old. The year was 1492. Most of you remember the year with Columbus, and I doubt that many of you will remember that the Spanish Inquisition was that year.
I was reading, when José came in, panting. He looked really scared. "Hide me."
He hid behind a wall just as a knock came on the door. I opened it to find the King's soldiers. "We are looking for a José de la Cruz. Is he here?"
"No. May I ask why you're looking for him?"
"As you may know, the Inquisition's purpose is to drive out or kill all Jews and Muslims for claim to be Christian but aren't. Earlier, we found one of these Jews, but José protected and let him escape. We believe that he is not a true Christian anymore and are trying to kill him."
I let out a big sigh. "I will tell you gentlemen when I see him."
"Please do."
When they left, I quickly went over to José. He was staring at me curiously. "Why did you protect me when you found it what I did?"
