Sixteen

Dara woke up a little bit late and found her husband gone already. She hurriedly took a shower and all then proceeded downstairs. Jiyong was nowhere to be found but she found Mrs. Lee in the kitchen cooking breakfast. "Good morning!" she cheerfully greeted.

Mrs. Lee turned around with a smile as she saw Dara. "Good morning Mrs. Kwon!"

Dara was a bit surprised because she had forgotten that he is now legally married to Kwon Jiyong. This is the first time that she was called the lady of the house 'Mrs. Kwon.' she gave her a shy smile.

"Uhmm...is Jiyong around?" she asked in a sweet voice.

"Mr. Kwon is in the gym since early this morning." Mrs. Lee replied.

"I see. Thank you." Dara then decided to walk around the house. She hasn't really been shown the entire house yet and she went to take a quick tour herself. The house is a three-story mansion. As she was looking around in an open space living room she noticed that the house has a very minimal but modern type of furniture. It kinds of lacks a bit of a homey feeling to it. There is a long couch situated in the middle and two side tables on each corner and a center table that are facing the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. Behind the couch, there is a long console with two lamps at each corner and a small selection of books on the lower tier. There is however a nice Van Gogh starry night over the rhone piece of art on the wall facing the window as well. On the far left side of the living room is a library loft with a beautiful wooden spiral stairway. Further left on the same floor as the library loft is where the five bedrooms are located. Each bedroom has its own full-size bathroom except of course for the master bedroom that has a jacuzzi tub with a separate shower stall, and close private toilet room, and a sauna. Below the library loft is where Jiyong's office is. The spiral stairway continues down to another floor level which she has not visited yet. On the further right side of the living room is the main entrance with a round foyer and a powder room. Behind the living room is the kitchen below the third floor where you can view acres of land in the back that consists of an outdoor swimming pool, recreation indoor room and outdoor area and houses for the in-house bodyguards and housemaids that are staying like Mrs. Lee and her husband who is the driver. The bodyguards do have work-hour shifts and when they are on duty they have a room for them to stay. The rest of the staff only comes in on their scheduled dates and time.

Jiyong came up from the ground floor full of sweat. He just finished his morning workout. Both Jiyong and Dara made eye contact with each other. Jiyong smilingly started talking first. "Good morning babe!" as he slowly approached her.

Dara returned his smile as she also greeted him. "Good morning hubby!" she said so sweetly which made Jiyong chuckle and giggle to himself.

Jiyong played with his tongue inside his mouth as it protrudes against his right cheek as he tries to control his giggle about what she had just called him. When he finally, approach her his eyes are twinkling with happiness. "What did you just call me?" he said as he teases her because he wants to hear it again.

Dara pretended not to know what he's talking about but she feels a giggle coming on. "I-i didn't say anything." she said as she raises her shoulders.

"Ah...ha! I see. But I did hear you call me hub...by?!" he said as he teasingly creases his brows and eyes while moving closer to her face.

Dara still pretending not to know anything slightly move her head away from him with a giggle. "Ah! You mean the word h-hubby?!" she finally said.

Jiyong suddenly grabbed her waist against his chest and kiss her passionately. The kiss ended as Mrs. Lee cleared her throat before declaring openly that breakfast is ready. "Sir. Madam. Breakfast is ready." she said with a smile before going back to the kitchen.

"Why don't you go ahead and eat. I'm just going to take a quick shower first." Jiyong said and Dara nodded.

Dara went ahead to the kitchen sat down feeling a bit embarrassed because Mrs. Lee had seen them. But Mrs. Lee was actually pleased and said, to Dara. "Madam you don't need to be embarrassed. A married couple should be showing proudly that they are indeed found the love of their life. I also want to thank you for accepting Jiyong wholeheartedly. I raised him you see. He was very loving and kind as a child but when he got betrayed by the people he cared about he became cold and unapproachable. He became the most heartless and ruthless man in this country." she told her sadly.
Dara listened carefully and will keep that in mind. "You know that this is the first time in a long time that I had seen and heard him chuckle? He seems to be very fond of you." Mrs. Lee excitedly added. Dara gave her a shy smile.

"Are you two going to keep on talking about me?" Jiyong said pretending to cold but Dara can see in his eyes that he was just teasing them. The two ladies chuckled for they know the real Jiyong. Mrs. Lee then finished serving the couple and left.

"What time is your photo shoot today? Do you want me to accompany you?"

"It is at two this afternoon. No, it's okay Chaerin is coming to pick me up." Jiyong then nodded. "Also. I have been meaning to talk to you about...us." Dara started saying. Jiyong slightly creases his brows in question. "What I meant is. Would it be alright with you if we don't announce our relationship to the public for how?"

Jiyong studied her carefully. He knows that she still has a lot of secrets that she is still not yet ready to reveal to him and so he agreed to this. "As you wish," he said shortly without asking for anything which Dara appreciates.

They finished their breakfast and decided to have a walk in the backyard. Afterward, they had lunch before Dara went up to their room to get ready and pack what she needs.

Chaerin came by at one o'clock to collect Dara for today's photoshoot. Jiyong once again was the one who opened the door for her. "Good afternoon Mr. Kwon!" she greeted while bowing to him but Jiyong just looks at her without a word as he turned around towards the living room leaving her stunned at the door.

"Are you just planning to stay there?" he said coldly without even looking at her. Chaerin snapped out of it for this is only the second time she's having a close conversation with him. She immediately followed him inside and closed the door. He turned around to face her once again with coldness oozing from him which made Chaerin shiver in fear. "Tell me. What kind of photoshoot will she be doing today? He inquired.
