After dinner and after taking a shower, Jiyong and Dara are now both resting on their bed. "So you are free tomorrow then? No photoshoot or anything?" Jiyong asked as Dara snuggle closer to him. He loves the feel of her in his arms and he will make sure that she stays in his arms only.
"Ya huh!" Dara answered and Jiyong chuckled. She creased her brows at him in confusion.
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that you sounded like a foreigner when you said that." he jokingly said.
Dara raised her left brow at him and said in perfect American English accent. "Well it's because I kind of..." she paused as she realized what she just did. "do."
Jiyong studied his wife. He has been observing her ever since they got married. He knows that she has a lot of things that she is not yet ready to reveal to him. He knows that she can speak English well but never occurred to him that she's very fluent at it.
Dara sat up on the bed and faced Jiyong. She paused for a while before speaking to him weighing herself of how much she should tell him. She doesn't want to tell any lies so she will tell him only what she wants him to know. She was playing with her hands trying to start telling him some truth about her. "Uhmm...I know that you are still waiting for me to open up to you and I do appreciate your patience with me." she paused and looked at him. "Uhmm...how about this. Let's play twenty questions. Questions that you really want to ask and find out about me. I will do the same and will try my best to give you an honest answer. A-are you okay with that?" she softly asked him with a hint of nervousness.
Jiyong also sat up in bed facing her with concern in his eyes. "Alright. But if you feel uncomfortable with my question just let me know and we'll move forward to the next question. Is that okay?" taking her hands as he said this. Dara feeling relieved nodded and Jiyong noticed this.
"You can start," she said to him.
"Alright. What is your favorite color?" he started with a comfortable question.
Dara genuinely smiled at him for she knows what he's doing. "My favorite color. Hmmm...I actually have four favorite colors. Pink, yellow, sky blue, and red."
Jiyong nodded with a smile.
"My turn." she started. "What makes you act so cold to everyone but me?
Jiyong raised his brow at her direct question. "Well...Maybe because that was how I grew up. People tend to worship every path I take and would always tend to all my needs because I was or still am known as the country's child genius." he honestly said. "
"Kind of like, everything you touched turns to gold?" she jokingly said.
He laughed out loud while saying "something like that." both of them laughed.
"As for you. Why am I not cold towards you? Well, to begin with, you're the first person who showed me her true self with no filter. You know what you want and you are not afraid of the consequences. You are ready to confront whatever comes your way with full of confidence. You're smart and don't make rushed decisions you study them from every single angle trying not to hurt others. You attack when it's necessary but you never attack first. You have a pure loving, caring and kind heart. Most especially you are the most beautiful woman inside and out that I have ever met. Do you want to know what the bonus part is about you? You are hot! Sexy, with all the curves in the right places. Your legs! Don't even get me started with your legs. I love your pair of legs. Your eyes which I can't seem to look away from every time. Lastly, your smile, that always takes my breath away which also brightens up my day and mood.
Dara could feel her eyes misting upon hearing how her husband portrayed her. She can feel all his sincerity.
"My turn," he said. "Why is it that every time we go out while we're in our home country that you get so excited as if you've never been there before?"
Stunned Dara couldn't respond right away. "I-do-not," she said defensively knowing that there is some truth in it.
Jiyong chuckled at her reaction. "Okay fine. You are right about that. It's because it really is my first time seeing the country." she blurted out not realizing what she just revealed and Jiyong was studying her as well."Care to tell me what you meant by it?" he gently asked not trying to scare her.
Dara started feeling nervous and Jiyong could tell by how tight she grips her hands.
"It's fine babe don't sweat it. Let's just go to sleep." he softly said to her.
Stunned Dara shook her head debating if she should at least explain it to him. "No. It's okay. I'm aware that you have been patient enough with me and have a lot of questions. I just hope and pray that whatever it is that you will find out about me may it be sooner or later that you will give me first a benefit of the doubt. Listen to me first and you alone should determine who and what to believe in." she creased her brows nervously as she is determined to make him understand what she is trying to say to him.
Jiyong did not say anything to her at first and was just studying her. "Alright. I promise you that I will listen to you first and give you the benefit of a doubt as well as I will determine who to believe."
Dara felt relief upon hearing him made this promise to her. She doesn't understand yet to herself why his opinion and him believing her first is very important to her. "Thank you. I really do appreciate that and you the most."
Jiyong pulled her towards him and hugged her tight. He kissed her forehead to let her be aware that he gets her. That he understands her. He felt her finally relax in his arms. Without a word, he laid them both down on the bed.
Dara felt that she at least need to answer his question. "Hubby?" she called on to him.
"Hmm?" he replied.
"To answer your question earlier." she paused a bit. "It's true that it is because I haven't really seen the whole country yet. The reason being was because I moved to the US when I was ten years old. My uncle and I moved there and stayed for eight years. Then after that, we moved to Australia for seven years until we finally move back to our home country almost five months ago."
