Chatter filled the beautiful church, Mon-el, Cisco and Oliver stood with Barry at the altar. Barry and Iris had asked Oliver to officiate their wedding, he had agreed. Caitlin and Felicity were stood on the opposite side of the altar.
The doors opened at the entrance of the hall and Iris walked in with Joe. She was wearing a long, strapless, lace wedding dress. Kara started to sing 'running home to you' as Iris walked gracefully down the isle.
Everyone turned to looked at her; everyone except Mon-el, who turned and looked at Kara, he smiled; when it came to the most beautiful girl in the room, he would always look at Kara.
Iris and Joe reached the altar, Joe kissed her on the cheek. "I love you baby girl." He said. Iris smiled. Joe looked over at Barry and put his hand on his shoulder. "I wish your parents were here to see this."
"They are." Smiled Barry.Kara went and stood with Felicity and Caitlin.
Iris walked towards Barry and took his hand. "You look stunning." Barry said quietly enough for only for Iris to hear. She smiled. "Thank you, you look so handsome, I'm not use to you being in a tux." Barry laughed a little.
"Hello everyone, thank you from coming today to witness the marriage of Barry Allen and Iris West. I cannot think of two people more suited for a life together. I think you all know that, otherwise why else would you be here today? These two deserve to be together, after everything they've been though, they deserve nothing less than happiness and to have a long life together. We will begin with the vows. Iris?" Said Oliver.
Felicity handed Iris a bit of paper. Iris unfolded it. "When I was 9 years old, I wanted to be a ballerina, even though I wasn't very good dancer. On the day of a recital, I froze, I couldn't move. But then I looked in the audience and saw you, you got up, climbed on the stage and did the whole routine with me. And we killed it!" Everyone in the church laughed. Iris continued. "And from that moment, I knew that with you by my side, anything was possible. The Flash may be the city's hero, but you Barry Allen, are my hero. And I am happy, exited and honoured to be your wife." A few tears fell from both Barry and Iris eyes.
"Barry, your turn." Said Oliver.
"I will be honest, I tried to write mine, but then I realised I didn't need to. Um, my entire life has been make by two things. The first is change, ever since I was a kid till I was an adult, things were always changing. But no matter how different things became or what new challenges I had to face, I always had the other thing my life was marked by, that's you Iris. You've always been there, as a friend, as a partner, as the love of my life. You're my home Iris and that is the one thing that will never change."
"That was beautiful." Said Iris with a smile."Rings?" Asked Oliver. Mon-el held out a box with two gold rings. Barry took one and Iris's hand.
"Iris West, with this ring, I give you my heart. From this day forward you shall not walk alone. As this ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I chose you to be my wife this day and forevermore." Barry slid the ring onto her ring finger. Iris smiled.Iris took out the other ring from the box and took Barry's hand. "Barry Allen, with this ring, I give you my heart. This ring is a symbol of my love and my faith in our strength together. I chose you to be my husband this day and forevermore." Iris slid the ring onto his ring finger.
"Do you, Iris Ann West, take Bartholomew Henry Allen, to be your wedded husband, to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love him faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?" Said Oliver.
