Karamel: Complicated {Part One}

40 • Valor

"You ready?" Asked Mon-el, standing in the DEO training room.
"Born ready." Replied Kara. A training robot flew out in-front of them, Kara ran and jumped up and smashed the robot. However, a second robot appears and shot at Kara from behind, sending her flying across the room.

"Get up!" Shouted Mon-el, Kara look around and saw the robot was still heading for her. She stood up and once the robot was close enough, she did a roundhouse kick and sent the robot crashing into a wall, destroying it.

Mon-el smiled. "I think you're ready! I mean you're dedicated, you punch really hard."
"Yeah, but not as hard as you, yet."
"Ever!" Mon-el laughed. "I'm proud of you." He smiled and kissed her forehead.
"I'm proud of me too." Kara laughed.

Before Kara could start helping out Mon-el with his superhero duties, there was just one problem...

"What's your name gonna be?" Asked Winn. Him, Mon-el, Kara and Alex were stood in the DEO.
"That is a very good question, I have no idea." Said Kara.
"Well, obviously it shouldn't be anything too similar to Superman as you're not from Krypton." Said Alex.
"I agree, but it should be something close, so people know you're with me." Mon-el explained. "Being Superman is all about kindness, valour, protecting those who can't and being good. So a name that is something to do with that would be a good idea."

"Oh yeah cause that's an easy thing to come up with." Winn said sarcastically.
"How about Valor?" Asked Kara.
"Hmm?" Replied Mon-el.
"Valor as my superhero name, it's not threatening, it has a good meaning that relates to being a hero..."
"It works! I can see the headlines now, Superman and Valor save the city!" Joked Winn.
"What do you think Mon?" Asked Alex. There was a moment of silence before he responded.
"It suits you perfectly."

"Oh! Quick thing! I took the suit Cisco make for you and made some adjustments, there is a distress beacon in the buttons for the jacket, that if you press sends a signal to us, along with a range of health sensors so we can monitor you." Explained Winn.

Alarms went off on the computer screens, Winn rushed over and looked at the screen. "There is a robbery on 7th!" He shouted over to them.

"You ready Valor?" Mon-el asked.
"Let's do this." Smirked Kara.

Mon-el landed outside the bank, he felt a gush of wind to his right, he looked over and saw Kara wearing her new suit.

"That really suits you." He said smiling. "I'll distract the bad guys and you get the hostages out." Instructed Mon-el. Kara nodded.

Mon-el then opened the door to the bank and walked though, leaving it open just for long enough that Kara could use her speed to slip though unnoticed.

"I'm gonna give you guys one chance to put your guns down and surrender." Mon-el said to the group of 3 robbers standing in front of the hostages. They looked at each other and Mon-el could tell they were smirking at each other under their masks, these must be very stupid robbers he thought.

2 of them started to fire guns straight at the man of steel. The bullets bounced right of him.

With the robbers distracted, Kara stared the help the hostages out the back of the bank, however the 3rd robber noticed her and walked over, grabbed her shoulder throwing her across the room. "Now who are you?" The robber spat.
"The woman who's sending you to jail." Kara stood and punched him, sending him crashing onto the floor.

The man got up onto his hands and knees and before Kara could blink, he had pulled a knife out of his boot and slashed it across the edge of her face. Kara stumbled back and raised her hand to the side of her face, blood was left on her fingers. "What the...?" She murmured. She took a deep breath and faced him.

"You'll pay for that." She snapped. She ran at him and he swung his fist out to hit her but she ducked and kicked at his leg; causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the floor. Kara ran and grabbed some handcuff off a security guard who was part of the hostages and cuffed the bad guy. Kara looked over and saw Mon-el had also managed to cuff both of the other bad guys as well.

Mon-el looked over at Kara, he rushed over to her. "Are you ok?" He cupped the side of her face. It was still bleeding.
"Yeah, he caught me with a knife, but I'm ok." Her eyes stared into his.

By now the police has swarmed into the bank and we're taking over the situation.

Mon-el looked around. "Should we go?" He asked.
"Yeah, we can go to the med bay and clean my cut."
"Come on." Mon-el lead her outside and then put an arm round her waist and flew off towards the DEO.
