44 • Drift

"Morning Juliet."

Kara slowly opened her eyes and smiled, Mon-el was laying beside her, his face drenched in sun light from the window.

"I love you." Kara said half asleep.
"What? I mean, I love you too but where's that coming from?"
"Just... you, you have no idea how much happier I am because of you."
"Kara, that was beautiful." He lent over and kissed her forehead. Kara snuggled into his chest.

"What do you want to do today?" She asked.
"Umm, do you want to go out on a date?"
"Always." Kara smiled.

All of a sudden Drift jumped up onto their bed. Kara reached out and stroked him. "Why don't we go for a walk with Drift? We could find a nice cafe or something?" Suggested Kara.
"Sounds perfect."

Drift trotted along side Mon-el and Kara, they had been out for about an half an hour and still hadn't found a place to eat.

"Please can we just stop at the next place we see, I don't care if it's a biker bar, I just want food." Winned Kara.
"How about there?" Mon-el pointed at this small cafe on the corner of the street. Kara grabbed his arm and dragged him over to the outside seating. The waiter came over and took their order.

"Hey, so I was think that it would be nice if during the summer we went away for like a week somewhere? What do you think?" Asks Mon-el.
"That's sounds great! I'd love to see more of this planet." Kara replied.
"Where do you want to go?"
"I'm not sure... France or Japan? I've seen photos and they look absolutely beautiful." Kara said, smiling.
"How about this? We could go to France in the summer and Japan in the winter?"
"That sounds great! We should go to Pairs, I'd love to go see the Eiffel Tower-"

Kara was interrupted by Mon-el's phone ringing, he quickly answered it. "Hey Alex, what's up?" There was a slight silence whilst Mon-el listened to Alex. "Ok, we'll be right there." Mon-el hung up. "Kara, we have to go, there is an emergency at the DEO, involving Cadmus."

Kara and Mon-el rushing into the main hall of the DEO and spotted Alex talking with John.

"Alex what's going on? What's going on with Cadmus?" A worried Mon-el asked. Alex took a deep breath.
"This morning there was movement at a suspected Cadmus warehouse, so I went with a team to check it out. And um..." Alex glanced at John. "We found Jeremiah."

Alex and Mon-el were in the Med Bay, standing beside Jeremiahs bed. "After being stranded in the Amazon. Cadmus found me and forced me to work on all sorts of projects for them, in return they said they wouldn't hurt you two or Eliza." Explained Jeremiah.
"Dad..." Alex said, gripping his hand. "Thank god we found you."
"Yeah, it's very lucky." Said Mon-el.

"I know, I'm so happy seeing you guys again. But you have to keep your guard up though, Cadmus is planning something big, I don't know the specifics but I know that it's involves a nuclear bomb. " Warned Jeremiah.
"Where did they get a nuclear bomb?" Asked Mon-el.
"They built one." He stated.
"We need to tell John about this." Said Alex.
"You go tell John, I'll find Kara and Winn."

Kara walked into Winn's lab."Hey." Said Kara.
"Ahh!" Winn dropped a tool. "Kara don't sneak up on me like that!"

Kara laughed. "I'll be more careful next time."
"What brings you here?"
"Mon-el went to go talk to Jeremiah but I'm worried. We've heard nothing from Cadmus for months and then suddenly we get an alert and find Jeremiah. It just doesn't sit well with me, you know when you just have that feeling?" Kara said leaning against a cabinet.
"I kinda get that but I'm sure everything is fine, Jeremiah would never do anything to hurt Alex and Mon-el." Winn reassured her.
"Yeah, I guess you're right."

"Hey guys, there is a couple of things we need to discuss about Cadmus." Said Mon-el poking his head though the half open door.

"So they have a bomb?" Asked John. Everyone was gathered in the main control room of the DEO.
"Do you know what they are going to do with it?" Questioned Alex.
"No, they were very secretive about it, they always made me work on projects but never told me what they were for."
"Well, if the bomb is armed, I might be able to trace its radioactive signature, it may take me some time." Said Winn.
"Good, get to work." Said John.

"Jeremiah?"

Everyone turned around, Eliza was standing there. Jeremiah walked up to her and gave her a hug. "I can't believe you're here." She said.
"I missed you so much. I didn't think I'd see you again." Jeremiah replied, pulling away slightly, smiling.
