Chapter 7: Change

4 weeks later

NO POV
After the sleepover, everything went back to normal. The gang continued to hang out and have fun. But for a week now Opal has been feeling uneasy and she feels like someone has been watching and following her.

Opal POV
As I walked down the hall to the water fountain, I felt uneasy. I turn around to see if someone was behind me but there was no one there but it still felt like someone was watching me. I got to the fountain, took a few sips to clear my head. " No one is watching you Opal you're fine. You have nothing to worry about." I said to myself trying to ease my nerves.

I wiped my lips and started to walk back to class still feeling uneasy. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder that made me jump. I turned around to see Korra with a slightly worried expression on her face. "Woah, sorry Opal I didn't mean to scare ya. I just wanted to see if you're okay you've been acting off for a while." I sighed and told Korra that I'm fine. But she didn't believe me for one second, so I told her what has been going on about how I felt someone has been watching and following me.

I could see the concern in Korra's face so she tried to reassure me that no one was watching or following me but I could tell she was hiding something from me. "Korra, I can tell when you're hiding something from me." Korra looked at the floor then looked back at me and told me that she's been feeling like someone has been following her and watching her. I felt more uneasy knowing that someone was watching both of us. "Korra, what if someone is trying to-" Korra stopped me "NO, Don't think like that. No one is after us, I think we're just a little on edge so how about we just try to get through the day and just try to relax." We both agreed went through the day like nothing was going on.

Korra POV
The last bell rang and we felt the class and met The others outside at Asami's car. We got into the satomobile and spent most of the afternoon together. "I don't know about all of you but, I, am, starving," Bolin said as he patted his stomach. We agreed and stopped at a nice diner. Opal and Jinora had a fruit salad, Kai had a pasta salad, Bolin and I had a burger and fries, and Asami had a grilled chicken sandwich.

Then I felt it again, that uneasy feeling but this time it was more intense like, whoever is watching me was ready to attack. "So miss Avatar, what do you have planned for the summer?" Asami said resting her head on her palm. "Wha, oh, um. Not much really, usually Opal and I just chill or practice are bending. We haven't gone on a summer vacation and years." I said as I scratch the back of my head in embarrassment.

Then Asami's face lit up. "What if all of us went on a vacation together." She said with a beautiful smile. "That sounds great." As the day went on we planned out our vacation for the first two weeks of summer. For the first six days, we planned to go to the fire nation black sand beach and boardwalk. Then we would head to a village where they have a festival honoring the avatar. Opal Insisted that she would show everyone around her home Zaofu, which Bolin was ecstatic about. And we would end our summer off by visiting the Southern water tribe for the spirit festival.

As we finished up our plans for the summer then we realized it was getting late. So we pay for food left the diner and got to Asami's car. Asami and Bolin brought Opal and me home. We said our goodbyes and went home.

NO POV
As Korra close the door the two girls signed knowing that they were home, but also knowing that they were going to spend the first two weeks of summer with their crushes. "I can't wait for summer to get here, why can't time go faster!" Korra said with a pout. "Anxious to see Asami in a bathing suit are we?" Opal teased. Korra's Face went completely red. "And what about you, offering to show the city of metal knowing well that Bolin has always wanted to go there." Now Opal's face was red. "Touché cousin, touché." After that opal and Korra decided to call it a night and go to bed.

As the Avatar and air bender walked up the stairs they felt it again, that uneasy feeling from before. They stopped and looked at each other. "You felt that, right?" Korra said with a serious tone. Opal nodded and they walked down the stairs and went outside and looked around but they didn't find anything. So they went back inside and checked every room. But again they didn't find anything.

"Okay, either we are very paranoid or whoever is watching us is great at being hidden," Opal said as she shut the door.  "Maybe we are just being paranoid," Korra said running her fingers through her hair.

Then Opal and Korra heard a boom that shook the house. They ran to the front to see a large chunk of earth that crashed through what used to be the front door. The bolder destroyed the living room and made a cloud of dust. Korra and Opal got into their fighting stances knowing that whoever threw that bolder into their house, wasn't an accident.

"Well, well, well, we finally get to meet the famous Avatar and Beifong." Opal and Korra didn't recognize the feminine voice. "Oh, so you know us?" Korra said trying to look through the dust cloud. "Of course, we know you. You two were the ones who took our beloved Asami and Bolin away from us!" The other voice said with anger.

Opal and Korra knew who the two were, Mako and Kuvira.
