Chapter 6: The Sleepover

No POV
Ask Opal and Korra walked to Asami's house for the sleepover they had mixed emotions and many thought runs in their heads.

Korra POV
As we walked to Asami's house I was lost in my thoughts. The sounds of cars driving by and people talking we're drowned out by all the thoughts running through my mind. "Should we go back home and tell Asami we change our minds about the sleepover?" "Korra.", "Was it a good idea?" "Korra?", "I feel so nervous!" "KORRA!" Opal shouted bring me back to reality.

"Oh, sorry Opal I'm just really caught up in my thoughts." I say as I rub the back of my head. "I could tell. Korra should we go back home we're both nervous about the sleepover so maybe we should call Asami and tell her that we won't be there." I thought for a second "No, Asami is our friend and we should just bail on her like that. Plus we were invited, we wouldn't be good friends if we turned her down." So we continued to Sato's house.

Asami POV
"Oh, where are they, where are they?" I said as I passed the floor. "Asami, calm down it's only been five minutes, they'll be here." Kai said as he walked out of the kitchen. "You know what you're right, you're right . . . . but what if they got lost? I'm just going to take a quick drive around." I said about to go out the door. But Jinora stops her. "Asami, calm down they'll be here, you just have to be patient." I begrudgingly agreed with Jinora and sit on the couch. Then not even a second we hear the doorbell ring.

I immediately jumped up and said to Jinora. "Wow you're right being patient does pay off." I say as I run to the door. I unlocked and opened the door to see Korra and Opal.

NO POV
Asami welcomed them in and the two girls were amazed at how beautiful Asami house was. "WOW, Asami you're house is amazing." Korra said as she took in the beauty of the house. Asami thanked Korra and felt a sense of pride as the girls continue to marvel over her home.

"All right now that you're here I can show you to your room so you can put your stuff away." Asami said as she leads the girls to their rooms. "Korra your room is on the left next to mine, and Opal you're on the right next to Bolin." They thanked Asami and entered their rooms and dropped off their stuff. Then returned to the group.

As the day progressed the group continues to have fun, play games, and playfully make fun of each other.

Time: 1:35 am

Finally, they were getting sleepy but then Kai suggested one more game to play. TRUTH OR DARE. Everyone agreed to play so Kai asked first. "Alright, and my first victim will be Opal, truth or dare?" (Truth) "What is your darkest fear?" Opal sat up straight and took a deep breath. "My darkest fear is that I won't be a good enough air bender. I mean yeah I'm a great air bender but sometimes I feel like my best isn't good enough." Korra gives a Side hug to her cousin. "All right now is my turn, and I choose Asami truth or dare?" (Dare) "I dare you to kiss Korra on the cheek." Both Korra and Asami's faces went red as the room filled with giggles.

Korra gave Opal a death glare but Opal simply smiles back. So Asami went over to Korra and kissed Korra; leaving a red kiss mark from her lipstick. "Korra you're blushing." Bolin said teasing Korra. Then Korra used her air bending to hit Bolin with the pillows on the couch. "Alright it's my turn on I choose Bolin, truth or dare?" (Truth) "Alright what do you think Opals best quality is?" Bolin thinks, then his face lights and he looks at Opal with a smile. "The best quality Opal has is your determination to work hard when you work you're always focused and you don't let anything stop you, and that's something I admire." Opal thanked Bolin with a blush on her face.

"The person I pick is Korra, truth or dare." (Dare) "I dare you to bench press Asami." Everyone except for Korra looked at Bolin like he had three eyes. "Alright, I'll do it. That is if Asami's okay with it." Asami nodded and laid on her side and Korra used her air bending to lift Asami in the air and placed her in her hands. "All right Bolin how many should I do?" Bolin thought for a second and decided that Korra should do five. As Korra put Asami down she had a very dark blush on her face, realizing that the Avatar just bench pressed her.

After a few more truths and dares, the group decided to go to bed. So they said good night to each other and went to their rooms.

Opal POV

As I was on my phone scrolling through TikTok but then a question continued to enter my head. "Why didn't Bolin and Asami tell Korra and me about their relationships?"  I tried to forget about it, but the question rattled in my mind. So I went to the balcony downstairs to get some fresh air. As I opened the door I felt the cool spring breeze hit my face.

I stood there leaning against the railing trying to figure out why they didn't tell us anything. "Hey, Opal what are you going out here so late?" I turned around to see Bolin leaning on the door frame looking at me. "Well, I came out here to clear my head." Bolin's face shifted from sleepily to concerned. "Well what's on your mind, I am all ears." I filled with my fingers for a second nervous to ask my question.

So took a deep breath, calm my nerves, and asked Bolin my question. "Why didn't you tell Korra and me that you and Asami's were dating someone?"  Bolin with a confused face. "What, Opal Asami and I aren't dating anyone." I looked at him with surprise. "Really, because I remember seeing you kissing a girl in the hallway a few days ago. Then Korra told me that she saw Asami kissing a guy on the same day." Bolins face changed from confused to happy. "Opal those kisses were forced in those people who kissed us were our toxic exes, Mako and Kuvira." I was happy to hear that they weren't dating anyone.

"Oh, thank spirits. For a while there I thought you two were keeping secrets from us." I said with a chuckle. "WHAT, we would never keep secrets from any of my friends, Bolin honor." I smiled knowing that I won't have to worry about this anymore *yawn* "Thank you for clearing that up for me Bolin, I think now I can go to sleep." "Then I shall walk you to your room lady Opal." He says as we link our arms and walked to my room. "Good night lady Opal." "Good night Sir Bolin." And so I closed the door and got into bed. As I begin to drift off to sleep, I thought to myself "Maybe Bolin and I can be together." 🥰
