Stereotypical Plotlines.

The giff will make sense later in the chapter.

We all knew this chapter would be written sooner or later.

It gives me a legit headache when I read these types of plotlines. One that I see the most is;
A girl.
One parent; dead or divorced etc.
Has some sob story as her adolescent or childhood years.
Cuts herself
Bullied
Dates a famous guy
Marries him
You get it right? But I literally want to throw my laptop across the room when I read these types of plot lines.

Okay once I read a story about a girl and the plot is borderline similar to this one, and she was getting abused by her boyfriend all the time, so she ran away and started to live with her friends in New York. In the apartment building lives Dan Howell. (Yes its a fanfiction)
See? Thats a creative plot line.

PLEASE DO NOT WRITE YOUR INTRO LIKE THIS.

Hi!!! My name is nobodygivesashit!!! I have magical blue eyes, bleach blond hair and a hyperactive sarcastic personality. I'm such a tomboy. My gpa is 2.1 and I have a D- in math, I do cheerleading and I watch mean girls 3 times every weekend!!!! My favorite color is neon pink, I have 362,272,727,828, followers on instagram, and I am a huge fashonista!!!!! See, total tomboy...

Did you ever see Rick Riordan write the first page if his book like this:

HI!! I'm Percy! I have brown hair, and my best friend is a goat! I am a demigod and my dad is an ancient greek God named Poseidon. I love to go on missions to save the world with my best friends at Camp Half Blood!!!!

Must I say more?

Also, not all guys in stories have to be portrayed like Mr. Darcy, with perfect features, and a narcissistic personality okay? Not every guy is perfect. On the other hand, don't describe them as pedophiles and complete imbeciles. Once again... Not every guys is the same. If a guy in your life pisses you off, please don't put his personality in your book. Have originality. You could always make the guy have decent features, a kind personality, but at the same time he has an immature and wild side.

Another typical thing I tend to notice in every single book I have read on wattpad... EVERY MORSEL OR SCRAP OF WRITING, is that it's always from the main character's point of view. I would really like to read a story that describes it in the third person, like The Invisible Man by H.G Wells, or Moby Dick by Herman Millville

Do not even THINK about laughing at the title of that book because if you get off of Wattpad and go read a REAL book, (you could seriously learn something,) you will find that it is an extraordinary piece if writing.

Ahem sorry.

Moving on...
Back to the whole sobstory background I was talking about earlier, if you are going to make it sad, make it original. Don't make it the girl always cutting herself and her parents having a drinking problem or her mom/dad died. BEEN THERE DONE THAT. Be creative.

Maybe you could say that she got mugged one time and ever since she's been a slight agoraphobe. But don't make it like this.

So when I was 15 I got mugged and this guy just came up to me and was all like give me all your money! And I screamed and ran away. Then I got shot and went to the hospital for seven days. Ever since I have had an extreme case of agoraphobia. Just as I was remembering this the doorbell rang and I reluctantly decided to answer it. I opened it a crack. It was the pizza guy.
"COME IN PIZZA GUY AND BE MY LOVER!!!!"
"Okay..."

Noooo. no. No. When you are an extreme agoraphobe you are too afraid to even open the door of your house. You trust nobody, and you spend days just thinking about the tormenting going on in the outside world.

Remember that episode of Spongebob where he didn't come out of his house for days after what happened to Patrick, and Sandy and Patrick were trying to lure him out, while he was slowly going insane in his demented pineapple of a house? Yeah he was talking to a used tissue, a bitten chip and a penny. (Giff above)
That's basically what an Agoraphobe is. DO YOUR RESEARCH PLEASE! A person with that type of condition wont just automatically go away and you just fall in love with the first guy you see.

We are going off topic... but the point is if you want to be taken seriously as a writer, buy a journal from Target, and write your plot line summary and write ideas to unravel the plot. Please be creative.

Okay I'm going to go now, because I am tired (11:17 pm) and my arm hurts.
