"Thank you," Vivian said, walking over to where Loki is walking alone while Morgan and Ria skipped ahead with Jordan and Edgar. The rest of the group were ahead making various arrangements to get back to their houses or the compound.

"For?" Loki asked.

"Uh...showing up? And making Ria's day with that present. As upset as I am that you probably outshone my gift and by default everyone else's, I'm happy because you made Ria happy." Viv smiled, and Loki felt his face heat up ever so slightly as he got flustered at her kind expression. He avoided her gaze and accidentally looked at Thor, who was giving him a thumbs up, a wink and a very suggestive expression to tell him something along the lines of 'get it!'. Or, the Asgardian equivalent.

"It was nothing. You, Edgar and...Jordan were the stars of the show, I don't think I "outshone" you, as you put it." Loki said.

"No, no, you were great. I mean, so was I, and Jordan and Edgar too, but Ria looks up to you. She really likes you. It wouldn't have been the same for her or me if you weren't there." Viv grinned. Loki nodded and the pair walked in comfortable silence for a few moments until Loki broke it.

"Now that Ria's met her father and you and he are on amicable terms...are you going to-- are you and Jordan going to--?" Loki stopped himself, wondering whether his question would be crossing a line.

"Loki? What's wrong? Just say it, I won't be offended or anything." Viv assured him, and he took a short breath before speaking.

"Are you and Jordan going to start being...together...again?" Loki asked.

"What? No! No, Jordan and I are not getting back together again. He'll just be around a lot more for Ria with Edgar and we'll be friends but I think we've both made a silent agreement to not start dating again. Besides, I don't like Jordan like that." Viv said, before looking at Loki quizzically.

"Why do you ask?" She continued, stopping now that they were only a few metres away from Viv's car.

"Well, I wanted to ask whether you are available at...some point. However, if you were to court Jordan once again, I thought that it would be inappropriate to." Loki pauses oddly in a couple of places, unsure of how exactly to get the words out.

"But you're not, so I'm--"

"You're asking me on a date?" Viv said, smiling uncontrollably.

"Yes. No! Well, I--" Loki just nodded, unable to physically say the words.

As soon as Viv saw his head go up and down, she jumped. She wrapped her arm around his neck, resting them comfortably on his shoulders and hugging his taller frame.

"Are you agreeing to come, or...?" Loki asked, looking up at the confused Avengers waiting in the very large vehicle a short distance and staring through the window curiously to try and understand what was going on.

"Yes! Fuck yes!" Viv squealed, before releasing him from her grasp and exhaling slowly, calming down.

"Sorry, sorry. That was bit much." Viv admitted shyly. Loki just chuckled and shook his head.

"No, it's alright. Uhm, when would you want to...?" Loki waved his hand in the air, using very vague gestures to replace words.

"Oh! Uh...how does four days time sound?" Viv asked.

"Perfect." Loki nodded.

"Great! Uhm...location?" Viv asked.

"Leave that to me," Loki assured.

"Oh, okay, sure! How should I dress? Fancy, casual? Do I have to--?"

"Vivian." Loki cut her off, stopping her erratic and panicked ramblings.

"You'll look fine in anything. Allow me to handle all the details, I'll tell you when it's all been sorted out, alright?" Loki asked, and Viv nodded, feeling her face heat up as his hand found her shoulder and rubbed up and down her arm comfortingly.

"Okay." Viv nodded obediently, and Loki nodded with her.

"Hey! Let's go, Reindeer Games!" Tony shouted, honking the horn of the car.

"That little..." Loki trailed off and narrowed his eyes at Tony before turning back to Viv with a much softer look on his eyes.

"I should go."

"Yeah, same, I'll just, y'know."

"Yep, I should just--"

The pair awkwardly said their goodbyes and began walking towards their respective transportation home.

"Loki!" Viv shouted, and Loki turned back to look at her. He watched her mouth a 'thank you, and he just smiled and nodded before she got into her car and he piled in with the Avengers, staring out the window as she drove off.

"Ooh, so I was right about you and the God of Mischief. What'd he say?" Jordan teased.

"I just said that you for entertaining Ria today. And I rambled on for a bit, that was it." Viv lies.

"Jordan, she doesn't want to tell us the truth. I'm sure you'd love to hear the juice details of whatever's going on, but leave her be." Edgar grinned.

"There are no 'juicy details', I promise," Viv assured them, and the men just shrugged, still suspicious of her as Ria played with her birthday presents.

...

"So what was that about?" Tony asked as Loki got into the car and his soft smile was replaced by his typical resting frown.

"None of your business," Loki grumbled.

"That means it was something interesting..." Thor grinned evilly.

"It was not, we just said goodbye. And she rambled a little, it was nothing." Loki lied. No one questioned it since it was believable and he was the God of Lies - he's kinda good at it. Thor, however, wasn't entirely convinced.

"Do you swear it was nothing, Loki?" Thor asked.

"I swear," Loki said nonchalantly.

"Swear on what?" Thor asked. Loki thought for a moment before smirking.

"I swear on your life, brother." He grinned, and Thor's eyes widened as various members of the team chuckled.

"Well, that's it for you then, Point Break. RIP, the God of Thunder."
