Viv hummed as she slipped on her black heels and put a few belongings in the white leather course she would take with her. Her hair was down and her lips were a very light glossy pink with a similar colour for her eyes, just a little more grey. She wore her fake eyelashes and mascara, eyeliner and the slightest bit of pink blush. All in all, her face looked quite angelic - a stark contrast to her dress.
A black a-line dress with an empire waistline and v-neckline. The material was a soft satin that ended mid-thigh with spaghetti straps, lace at the hem and along the neckline. A thin silver necklace rested just at her cleavage with the playboy bunny logo as the clear crystal encrusted pendant.
She fiddled with the fabric one more time, looking at herself in the mirror and evaluating she was wearing too much or too little. Panic rushed through her, only for her to be calmed down by her daughter's voice.
"Mom!" Ria called, and Viv gave herself one more spritz of perfume before she exited her room and entered the living room where her daughter was watching Blue's Clues.
"Yes?" Viv asked, touching her earlobes to make sure that the crystal stud and hanging crystal in her right and left ear respectfully were still there.
"Somebody knocked on the door," Ria says, and instead of being calm, Viv got nervous all over again, her body forcing her to approach the door.
She twisted the doorknob and pulled the door inwards, revealing the man she had been waiting for.
"Hi."
...
Loki smoothed down his blazer for the umpteenth time. If he stalled any longer he'd be late and unpunctuality was probably not the best way to start a first date.
He didn't take much other than his phone (an item he was forced to carry in case something were to happen) since he could just use magic to summon anything. He briskly walked out of his room and made the mistake of not sneaking.
"And where are you going?" Sam asked, and Loki mumbled a couple of curses before turning to Sam, Natasha, Wanda, Thor, Steve and Bruce in the lounge room he had just attempted to walk past.
"None of your concern." Loki crossed his arms.
"If you're going somewhere to wreak havoc then yes, it is," Bruce said.
"I'm not going to do anything threatening, if that's what you think," Loki said.
"Well, what are you going to do, Loki?" Thor asked, and Loki stayed quiet, unsure of what excuse to say.
"He's going to meet someone," Wanda said.
"What?" Nat asked.
"Hypothetical situation, Maximoff," Loki muttered.
"Meet who? You don't know anyone other than the people in new Asgard." Thor said, and Loki shook his head.
"I'm not meeting anyone - I need to go," Loki said, beginning to walk away.
"Wait, wait, you're actually not gonna tell us?" Sam asked.
"No." Loki shook his head.
"Well, uhm...don't get into any trouble?" Steve offered, unsure of what to say.
"I'm not your teenage daughter, Captain. I'm going to be late..." Loki said, before walking into the elevator and giving Thor an eye roll as he waved at him and the elevator doors closed.
Loki teleported a few metres away from Viv's house before walking up to it and knocking on the door. He heard a muffled voice that was higher than Viv's and a bit of shuffling before the door opened and he was met by the woman he was waiting for.
"Hi." She said nervously, and he almost didn't say anything for a little because he was stunned by her. She looked phenomenal and Loki would not waste a second in telling her that.
"Hello. You look beautiful." Loki said, before turning his head to the side and trying his best not to collapse in anxiety.
"Haha, uh...thank you? Uhm...I can't take a compliment, but you look great too." Viv chuckled awkwardly.
"Thank you, Vivian. And you're going to need to learn how to take a compliment because many more are coming." Loki grinned, and Viv blushed slightly before Ria squeezed past Viv's leg and the doorframe, smiling and jumping as she saw Loki.
"Mr Loki!"
"Hello, Ria." Loki smiled at her and she giggled.
"What are you doing here?" Ria asked.
"Loki is taking me somewhere," Viv said.
"Where?" Ria asked.
"That's a surprise for your mother. I'm taking her on a date." Loki said, and Viv smiled as Ria laughed.
"Ooh! Mommy, do you like Mr Loki?" Ria giggled, making kissy noises and laughing as her mother became more and more embarrassed and Loki became more and more amused.
"Heh, something like that sweetheart. Now, I just have to wait for..." Viv trailed off as a black car pulled into her driveway and Marshall stepped out.
"Marsh, right on time." Viv smiled.
"No, I'm late. I wanted to be here before Loki showed up so I could avoid watching you two be mushy." Marshall grinned.
"We haven't even done anything!" Viv said.
"Well, that's great but I'm praying for future me who has to be here when you get home in a lovesick daze, half-drunk and with smeared lipstick from god-knows-what kind of 'activities'." Marshall smirked with an eye roll as Viv blushed and grabbed Loki's hand, leading him to her car.
"We're leaving. Now. Please." She said, and Marshall only laughed as Loki smirked, amused at Vivian's embarrassment.
"Have fun you two! But not too much fun." Marshall chuckled as Viv and Loki drove away, Vivian's middle finger proudly raised out the car window.
