Miranda grabbed a glass of water before turning around to make her way back up the stairs, wanting to go back to her room and think of ways to get Roman in bed with her again. "God what I would give for a glass of whisky. Hell, even a beer would work. Unfortunately, I can't drink either of them all because I'm breast-feeding Nadia. Can this torture get any worse?" Miranda turned the corner and was greeted by Alyse standing there. Oh great. Things just got worse, Miranda thought to herself.

"Hello house whore," Alyse greeted.

"My name isn't house whore. It's Miran-" Miranda was quickly cut off.

"I don't care to know what your name is, you piece of filth! Don't you try to act like you're my friend either. I'm not stupid. I know that you don't want me in the house. I know that you see me as an obstacle preventing you from being with Roman, in the way that you want to be with him. Is Roman aware that you're only using him for his wealth," Alyse questioned.

"Look, I don't see why you care about what I plan on doing with Roman. You make it so obvious that you want nothing to do with him. Why do you care about what I plan on doing," Miranda asked.

"I care about the little girl that Roman fathers. I won't let you harm the only piece of my friend, that I have left. Nadia didn't ask for this kind of life. It's not her fault that her father locks her away like he does. If you plan on using Roman that is perfectly fine. I won't have Naida get hurt in the process," Alyse said.

"If you're concerned about Nadia, then why don't you take her and leave Hemlock Grove? I can keep Roman distracted long enough; that way the two of you can be free. Hell, if you take Nadia, I would be free. I never wanted kids anyway. Maybe you and I can come to some sort of agreement to help one another get what we want. You get the freedom that you want for yourself, your unborn child and Nadia. I get peace, and a cashflow that will have me set for life. Then when Roman dies, I sell the house and take that money and get the hell out of dodge," Miranda said.

"What about the white tower," Alyse questioned.

"Oh, I was already weighing my options about that. There are many companies who would pay big to buy out the Godfrey white tower. I just have to see which one is willing to pay the price I want," Miranda said.

"You wouldn't get a dime," Alyse said.

"Why is that," Miranda asked.

"Because Olivia Godfrey would take back ownership of the white tower. There is no way in hell she would let the only income that allows her to live comfortably be sold off by some stranger. Judging by the look on your face, you didn't even think about Roman's mother, Olivia. As much as you want me gone, Olivia would stop me. She would call Roman and I would be brought back to the house. Just admit it house whore, your plan is a failure like you are. You thought that you had everything figured out, but you don't. Give it up. Pack your bags and get the hell out of Hemlock Grove, before you are chewed up and spit out. You can't handle the things that Hemlock Grove throws your way. You're honestly in way over your head. There are things about this very town that you don't even know about," Alyse said.

Miranda rolled her eyes. "You're not going to scare me out of this house, or the town that easily."

"Suit yourself whore. But when things start to become too much to handle, don't say that I didn't warn you. Because of your ignorance, you're bound to fall victim to our quaint little town," Alyse warned before passing by Miranda.

Miranda turned and watched Alyse walk away. "What do you mean by that?!?" Miranda grew frustrated when Alyse walked out of sight. What the hell did she mean by that? Unless...unless she's only trying to get in my head to psych me out. I cannot allow her to go and distract me from my main goal, Miranda thought.
