Roman turned his attention to Dr. Pryce, who stood there waiting to hear the name that both Roman and Alyse agreed to give to their newborn son. "My wife and I have decided to name our son Calix Thatcher Godfrey."

Dr. Pryce wrote the name down on the birth certificate while a nurse approached the new mother to place the baby in the crib, so she could wheel him away to get washed up.

"Alright Mrs. Godfrey, I'm going to have to take your son and place him in the crib, so that way we can take and get him all cleaned up for you. While I get him all cleaned up, I advise that you get some rest," The nurse said while reaching for the baby.

Alyse held the baby closer to her chest, glaring at the nurse who was reaching for her son. "You won't take my son away from me. I want my baby to remain close to me and in my sight."

"Mrs. Godfrey, we're only going to clean your baby up. After that we will bring him back so he can nap alongside you," the nurse tried to reason with Alyse.

"If you so much as lay a damn hand on my baby, I will rip your damn arm off without a second thought about it." Alyse growled out.

The nurse turned to look at Dr. Pryce, as if asking for help silently; which went ignored. "Dr. Pryce, I can't do my job if the patient is refusing to hand her son over so we can clean him up."

"I will try and speak with her," Dr. Pryce said before turning to look at Alyse. "Mrs. Godfrey, why don't you be a good patient and allow the nurse to do her job. The nurse is only going to clean your son up. Once she is done with that, the baby will be brought right back to you. I assure you you will have your baby back in a little bit."

"I don't trust that nurse. Nobody is taking my baby away from me," Alyse growled out again.

"Mrs. Godfrey, please keep calm. If you don't allow us to do our job, then we will be forced to restrain you to the bed. That is the only option that we have to maintain our safety," Dr. Pryce said.

"You won't be doing such a thing to my wife. You so much as take a step towards her to restrain her to the bed, I will cut off all funding for all of your future projects. Now why don't you and that pathetic nurse get the hell out of here and allow my wife and I to spend time with our son? While you're at it, bring in a bowl of water and some rags. My wife and I will be the ones to clean our newborn son ourselves," Roman snapped at Dr. Pryce.

Dr. Pryce turned to the nurse. "You heard what Mr. Godfrey said. Do as he asked. Allow him and his wife to spend time with their newborn child."

"Pryce," Roman said as Dr. Pryce was about to walk away. Dr. Pryce turned to Roman waiting to see what Roman had to say. "I don't want you saying a damn word to Olivia or Peter. I don't want either of them laying eyes on my son. If I find out that you said anything even so much as the gender of my child or his name, I will allow my wife to come back here and rip you apart. Are we clear?"

"You have nothing to worry about. Olivia won't find out about the gender or the name of your child. But your wife and son are going to have to stay overnight," Dr. Pryce said.

"Then I will stay with them just to make sure there isn't a repeat of what happened the last time," Roman said.

"With all due respect, Mr. Godfrey, what happened the last time was tragic yes. But you also need to remember that Letha was not part Upir. So, when she gave birth, there was no stopping her from bleeding to death. That and I was told by Olivia that if you had kept your daughter, it not only would have made you weak, but it would have chased Alyse away. All because you would have put a ton of pressure on her to have a baby with her. Hell, it would have driven you to the point where you would have raped Alyse just to get her pregnant," Dr. Pryce explained.
