Roman stared at his unconscious wife for a few minutes longer, before turning and walking out of his room, accidentally bumping into Anna. "Is Nadia in bed?"

"Yes sir," Anna was quick to reply. "If you don't mind me asking, what has you in such a foul mood?"

"Tell me Anna, what do you think has me in a foul mood," Roman challenged Anna to answer his question.

"I'm sorry Mr. Godfrey. I should have known better than to question what has put you in such a mood. I didn't mean to pry into business that doesn't concern me," Anna said.

Roman thought about it for a moment before deciding to take it easy on Anna. "I don't mean to snap on you Anna. You're not the one I should be taking my anger out on. You haven't done anything wrong. It's just, my loving wife did something that she shouldn't have done."

"What is it that Mrs. Godfrey had done, to make you so upset," Anna asked.

"She tried to keep a secret from me. A secret that would be quite damaging to our marriage," Roman began to explain.

"What is that supposed to mean," Anna asked.

"What it means is, that my wife was trying to hide the fact that a certain Gypsy had returned back to Hemlock Grove, when he agreed that he would never make a return, after he had accepted the money that he used to bail his mother out of prison. My wife thought she could keep me from finding out about her meeting with the Gypsy," Roman snapped out.

"I don't understand. Mrs. Godfrey loves you. She wouldn't do such a thing to risk ruining her marriage to you. She's carrying your child," Anna said.

Roman growled out. "Apparently that isn't enough to keep her from wondering off to the arms of the Gypsy asshole, who is determined to take my wife away from me. I'll see to it though, that he gets what he truly deserves. If he thinks that he can take my wife and child away from me, then he is sadly mistaken."

"Please Mr. Godfrey, try to calm down. This anger is not going to do anything for you. It's only going to put you in an unbearable rage, which will drive you to do something that you will regret. You don't need that; not when you are the talk of the town already. Do you want people to try and pry into your personal business? Isn't it bad enough that they already try and pry into your personal life; saying such horrible things such as you cheating on your wife with whores that work as your secretaries," Anna asked.

Roman laughed. "That is all talk from people who hate me. They will say anything to make me look bad. Especially if they want my wife to hear all the gossip that they speak. I know that other people know that if my wife were to hear what they say, that she would lose her shit so to say. I'm more than sure that it's just a bunch of jealous women, who want a chance to be with me, and are starting bullshit, just so my wife would send me divorce papers. If only those whores knew the truth, that I would never sign any divorce papers that my wife may send me. I love her too much to let her go."

"I see. It's so horrible that all those women would even consider wasting their time, coming up with such lies about you. If only they could see how much love you have for your wife. If they saw that, then they would stop coming up with such ridiculous lies about you," Anna said before hearing a scream come from Roman's room. "What in the holy heaven?"

"Don't worry about that Anna. It's just Mrs. Godfrey gaining consciousness. She's freaking out, because she doesn't remember making her way up to the bedroom. You go about your business, and do whatever it is that you're doing. I'll gladly tend to Mrs. Godfrey and whatever it is that she needs," Roman said.

"Are you sure, Mr. Godfrey? I don't want you to have to take on any burdens that is unnecessary for you to deal with. It is after all my job to tend to you, your wife and your children's needs," Anna said.

"I insist Anna. I don't mind taking care of my wife's needs. You do more than enough for my family and I. Why don't you finish whatever it is that you're doing, and take the rest of the night off. I'm sure Nadia is down for the night. I don't mind taking care of my wife. Besides, what kind of a husband would I be, if I don't take care of my wife? Besides, I don't want anyone going near Mrs. Godfrey but me. She's not herself at the moment," Roman said.

"You don't suppose that Mrs. Godfrey might be dealing with a sickness do you," Anna asked.

"No sickness. I think she's due to give birth to our little one," Roman said.

"So soon? Wouldn't that be a premature birth," Anna asked.

"You forget who you're talking to Anna. Do you not remember the family secret that you have learned so long ago? We are nothing like mortals, you know this. You were there when my mother gave birth to me," Roman snapped.

"Right. I'm sorry Mr. Godfrey. I'll leave you to tend to Mrs. Godfrey and her needs. Have a goodnight Mr. Godfrey," Anna said before rushing off.

Roman waited until Anna was out of sight before heading back into his room, spotting his wife fighting against her bonds. "Don't you look so helpless, fighting the bonds that keep you in place. Tell me dearest wife, did you honestly think that you could get away with keeping secrets from me?"

"I wasn't trying to keep anything from you. I would have told you about his return at some point. I didn't think you would be home, when I came back, after taking a bit of time to cool off after our little argument that we had," Alyse snapped while struggling some more against the bonds. "Can you please be so kind as to untie me from the damn bed?"

"Why would I want to do that right now? How do I know that you won't try and do something stupid, such as go running to your precious Gypsy boyfriend to warn him, about me finding out that he's back? Do you honestly think that I would allow you to do something like that, before I get a chance to welcome Peter back to Hemlock Grove myself? Do you honestly think that I would allow you the chance for me to have a little chat with Peter; I think it's only fair that I find out how Peter is planning on paying the money back that he took. He did make a deal, and he also broke that deal. He could pay me back the money, or I could call the police and have Lynda sent back to prison where she belongs. The choice is honestly his to make. I won't have you go and speak to him, coaching him on which choice to make. You're already in enough trouble as it is. You don't need him to get you in deeper." Roman snapped.

"If you're going to punish me, then do it. Leave Peter out of this. He has nothing to do with me keeping his return a secret from you," Alyse began only to be cut off with a slap to the face.

"Don't you dare speak lies for him. He has everything to do with this. If anyone shouldn't be getting involved, it's you wife! If you want to get involved, then you shouldn't be protecting the very man who broke his end of the bargain that he made with us. You should be just as outraged as I am. Yet here you are, trying your best to protect him from any form of punishment. Why is that? Do you harbor feelings for that pathetic Gypsy," Roman snapped again.
