Tom's POV

I hear the door getting pushed open I run to the room and nurses bring y/n into a room. It's an empty white room. I try to see her but the doctor holds me back.

Doctor: You can't go in there right now!

Tom: Why?

Doctor: Her body was carrying the baby around for too long. It wasn't easy, but we got it out. But she had two cardiac arrests and we don't know how she's going to continue.

Tom: You mean, she could die?

He nods.

Doctor: We'll keep her here until she's better!

Tom: Okay! Thank you doctor!

I go to Anna and Dylan. Marta and Shawn come us too. They arrived a few minutes ago.

Anna: What's going on?

Tom: They don't know if she can do it-

My voice breaks and tears run down my face. Anna and Marta come to me and hug me. Dylan stands in front of me so the paparazzi outside won't see me crying, because then they'd know, something happened.

Dylan: C'mon Tom! We'll get outta here!

He grabs my arm and pulls me outside. He covers me and Shawn helps him. Camera flashes blind us but after five minutes of exhausting fighting through the crowd, we reached Dylan's car. Shawn sits in the back and Dylan drives. I sit next to Dylan. He starts driving towards our houses.

Dylan: What did the doctor say?

Tom: She had two cardiac arrests because she was carrying around the dead baby for too long. And it wasn't easy, but they got it out!

Dylan: She's strong, Tom! Don't worry!

Shawn: And with your help she'll heal. On the inside and the outside.

Tom: I feel bad! Why didn't she tell me?

Shawn: It took time till she told Marta.  And they no each other for years. And maybe she was scared that she might scare you away!

Tom: She could never!

Dylan: Let her know that!

We arrive at the house and I jump out.

Dylan: Do you want us to come inside?

Tom: You don't have to!

I close the front door and go into the bedroom. I grab a bag and start throwing in clothes for y/n. Tears run down my warm cheeks and drop down on the clothes. I wipe them away but new tears follow. My hands are shaking and I think of my wife. What must she feel like right now? I hold a grey shirt in my hands. THE grey shirt. It's her favorite shirt because it's mine. I gave it to her after she wore it when she spend her first night at my apartment in London. She said, she loved the way, the shirt smells. I asked what does it smell like and she answered, it smells like you, Tommy! The way she always called me Tommy made me go crazy. I put the shirt to my nose and  sniff. Now the shirt smells like her. I smell her shampoo and her perfume. I close my eyes and bury my face inside the shirt. I fall down on my knees and cry. I just let out everything.

Dylan and I drive back to the hospital. Shawn already went back. We rush inside and ask for y/n. Room 307. We go to the room. Dylan stops.

Dylan: I'll go to Anna. I'll give you some time.

I open the door and go inside. Y/n lays on the bed with her eyes closed. Two monitors stand next to her bed. She wears a mask and cables are stick on her chest. They are connected to the machines. I sit down on a chair next to her bed. I take her hand. A thin hose is connected to a needle which is in her Ellenbeuge. I kiss her hand and put my head on it.

Tom: Hey darling! I'm here! I'm finally here!

Someone knocks at the door.

Tom: Yes?

The doctor walks in.

Doctor: Ah, Mr Holland!

Tom: Hello doctor!

Doctor: I know it's not easy!

He comes closer to y/n.

Doctor: We need to let her sleep. Her condition wasn't good enough.

Tom: Do you know, when she'll be better?

Doctor: Difficult to say but if she continues like she is healing now, she might be better in 6 or 7 months.
