When I say I'm ready for school to end, I'm fucking ready for it to end. Finals week was literal hell. Studying my textbooks and notes for endless hours. Me and pony got home from school with Dallas in toe. I dropped my bag onto the dining room table before walking to the fridge in the kitchen. I opened it quickly before pulling out a bottle of beer, opening the top quickly and taking a large swig of it. "Long day doll?" I could hear Dally's smirk from where I was standing. I closed the fridge and turned to him. "Finals week. First test is tomorrow and they are a huge part of my grade." I walked past him and to the living room. Pony must have gone to his room to study or something cause he was nowhere to be found. Plopping down on the couch, I took another swig of beer. Dally sits with me and takes the bottle from my hands, taking a sip before handing it back to me. I rested my head on his shoulder, like I did during my panic attack. There wasn't one coming on, I just needed some comfort. "I'm just glad school is the only thing in my mind right now." I close my eyes, putting the beer between my legs and holding it with both hands. I felt Dally's arm around me, gently rubbing my shoulder like before. "It's almost over doll." He said encouragingly. I nodded and took another sip of the beer.

And it was over. My last day of school finally came after what seemed like the second longest week ever. Second to the week that Pony and Johnny fled to Jay mountain. I finished finals and all my classes with good grades. As and Bs. I hoped Darry was proud of me. Me and Pony rushed home as fast as we could after school was let out. Talking and laughing as we walked. We both felt so happy that school was over with. When we made it home, the whole gang was over. That's never happened before. We always came home on the last day to an empty house since Darry and Soda worked. Sometimes Two-bit came over after school but normally it was with us. I glanced at Pony as I see the gang all lounging in the living room. He looks at me as confused as I was. "Hey guys." I say to the gang. "Hey Peggy!" Steve said waving. "What's up?" I asked, slipping off my converse. Everyone gets up and faces us as we walked into the living room. "We have a surprise for Ya." Soda smiled. I raised my eyebrows at them. "Oh?" Darry rushed out of the living room. "Should I be scared?" I asked. "Nooooo." Steve laughs. Darry soon comes back with his arms behind his back. I watched as he pulls out a black leather jacket. It was warm down and it was a men's jacket not too unlike my other one. They looked remarkably similar. "Surprise." Darry smiled and held it out to me. I placed my backpack on the ground next to me before slowly taking the jacket with a large smile. "We hope you like it. It's used but it's like your other one." Steve said. I looked up at them. "I love it." I smiled. I quickly slipped it on over my shirt. It was a perfect fit. Not too big on me and the sleeves were the perfect length. "It was my idea." Dally said proudly. "Where did you get it?" I asked, running my fingers over the leather on my sleeve. "That thrift shop in town." Darry said. "We all looked for the perfect one and when we found it, we all pitched in some cash to get it for you. We know how much the other one meant to you." I looked up at Darry and smiled. "Thank you boys." I quickly rushed to them and hugged them. Of course they could get me the perfect gift. We all pulled away. "Think of it as an end of the year gift." Dallas smiled.

The gang all stayed the rest of the night. Steve offered to take me somewhere but I said I just wanted to hang out. Two-bit watched Mickey on the tv while drinking beer and the rest of the gang all hung out around the living room. I was in the kitchen making myself a sandwich since I was starving, when Dallas waltzed in with a cigarette between his lips. "How about you make a fresh cake?" He leans against the counter. "Now?" I asked with a chuckle. "Two-bit devoured the other one, I didn't even get a slice." He takes a few puffs of his cigarette. "Maybe I will." I reach into my jean pocket and pull out his ring. I held it out to him. "Here. Sorry I kept it for so long, it helped with finals week." He glanced between me and the ring. "Keep it for now." He smiled. "Ok." I slipped it on my left middle finger. The only one it fits on besides my thumb. "Now come on I'm craving a chocolate cake!" He nudged me. "Ok ok! Let me eat my sandwich."
After I ate, I gathered the ingredients for the cake. Dally offered to help but I knew he would just sit there and do absolutely nothing. So I just told him to watch. The recipe I knew by heart thanks to the high demand it had in this household. I mixed together the dry ingredients before adding the wet. Mixing the batter. After greasing the pans, I poured the mix into each pan. Steve walks into the kitchen and sticks his finger in the bowl, sliding it around to get some from the cake batter left on the sides of the bowl. "Stevie!" I slap his hand. He puts his finger in his mouth and licks up the batter. He chuckled and leaves the kitchen. I sighed softly, what am I going to do with those boys.
About an hour later, the cake was made and frosted. The guys got antsy as they watched me frost the two layer cake. I take my time with it since I know they were getting anxious to eat it. The boys eventually let me be and scatter around the house again. But as soon as I finish, I let them know. "Come and get it boys!" I took out a knife for them to cut and serve their own pieces.
