Chapter 12: Confessions, Confrontations, & Disappointment

They stood there waiting for any answer. Betty closed her eyes and looked at the boy before her. She knew something was pulling her towards him and she wanted to experience it.

"What will we tell Veronica?" Betty asked.

"Betty, god don't pay attention to that right now. What matters now is if you're in this or not? So?"

"Yeah, yes, yes, I'm in this!" she finally confirmed.

Archie let out a sigh of relief grabbing Betty's hand pulling her closer.

"But, we're going to have to be careful" she reminded him.

He nodded his head, "Yeah, I know, we'll figure it out, okay?"

She nodded her head back at him. The bell rang again letting all the students know that they had to get to class.

"I'll see you later, right?" Archie asked, not wanting to leave Betty.

"Uh, yeah sure." she answered.

Archie began to walk away leaving Betty where she was standing. She began to turn around and look at him, he walked back up to her. They were back in their corner, he gave her a kiss on her cheek. Making eye contact one last time she gave him a smile that made his heart race, he returned it with one of his smirks. It wasn't one of his fuck boy smirks this one was different. Archie parted away from her walking back to his class. Betty was overwhelmed by everything that was happening so quickly, but knowing that Archie was going to be there with her made her feel better.

Midway through school(STUDENT LOUNGE)

Everyone was sitting just talking to each other, catching up with one another. Cheryl and Toni were on one of the chairs while, Reggie and Archie were playing pool against Kevin and Fangs. Betty sat on the couch that faced the door with Jughead next to her. They were working on the next article for the BLUE & GOLD.

All of a sudden Veronica marched into the room with her heels clicking against the floor. She stood in front of Betty with everyone's eyes on her and Betty.

"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Veronica yelled at Betty.

Betty looked around confused seeing that everyone was indeed looking at her including Archie. She looked back and Veronica who was staring right at her.
"I'm sorry- wh- what are you talking about?" she asked nervously.

"Oh please don't pretend to be your innocent little self." Veronica scoffed.

Betty got up meeting with Veronicas face that was looking at her.

"Veronica I have no freakin clue what the hell you're talking about so maybe we should talk about this somewhere more private," Betty suggested clearly pissed off by the way Veronica was coming at her.

"No, no, we're going to settle this now!" Veronica yelled.

"Hey Ronnie maybe she's right, this isn't really the place to do this," Archie chimed in now standing by the girls.

"Please Archie I wouldn't get involved if I were you because I will deal with you later." the dark haired girl warned.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Archie asked.

"Would you please just say whatever it is you need to say and get over it already." Jughead stated.

"V, let's go somewhere more privately." Betty reminded her again.
