It had just been two days since everything had unfolded and for Betty it was a weight lifted off her shoulders. It felt good to finally let everything out in front of Archie, but she knew that nothing could happen between the two until he broke up with Veronica. They had texted each other that Friday night that he had told her he would. The two ended up on a phone call that lasted for hours. Just talking and getting to know each other more. Even though they've known one another for years, there were things they hadn't known about the other person,

It was Sunday morning and Betty had just gotten ready for the day. She grabbed some sweatpants and a black tank top to pair with. Lastly, she put her hair into a low ponytail and walked downstairs. Her family was already sitting down and eating breakfast.

"Betty, you're finally awake! Come join us!" Alice exclaimed.

Betty nodded her head and sat next to Jughead. He gave her a smile which she returned back to him.

"So, now that we have you guys all here, FP and I have an announcement to make," Alice began, "As you know FP and I have been together for a while now and we've been talking about an important change here. We want to be officially married!"she announced as she held up her left hand showing the table the ring she had on.

Betty practically choked on her breakfast out of shock. She didn't expect her mom to consider remarrying after her dad. Of course she was happy for her mom, but it still stung a little. Everyone else cheered on for the two.

"Wait, so ho-how did you guys end up coming to this decision?" Betty asked.

"Well, while we were on our little vacation we had a little talk. We know that we want to be together and we decided that marriage was the next big thing." FP explained.

"All I have to say is congratulations Dad and Alice!" Jughead said proudly. He was happy for his dad and only wanted the best for him, if Alice was the best then so be it.

"Thank you boy," FP and Jughead shook hands.

"Is there going to be like a whole wedding and everything?" Jellybean asked.

"Yes, there is going to be a wedding, small but special. Actually Betty, I wanted to ask if you would do me the honor of being my maid of honor?" Alice requested.

The whole table turned to face Betty, who had a stunned emotion plastered on her face. She was shocked by her mother's request.

"You want me to be your maid of honor?"

"Yes, Betty. We've been through a lot together from your father to the farm and the whole Chic situation. You've been at my side the whole time. I would love to have you as my maid of honor!"

Even though Betty wasn't sure how she felt about her mother remarrying , but she was able to see how important this was to her mom.

"Y-Yes I will be your maid of honor." Betty agreed.

"Yay! I'm so excited! Thank you Betty!There's so much to plan!" Alice squealed and hugged Betty.

They went back to finishing their breakfast and cleaning up the table.

"Hey, boy meet me outside real quick! I have to talk to you." Fp announced as he went into the garage.

Jughead was standing next to Betty helping her clean up the dishes.

"Oh I do wonder what this could be about," Jughead answered sarcastically.

Betty chuckled at his response and went back to the dishes. Once she was done she dried her hands and sat with her mom in the living room. Her mom was on her laptop already on wedding sites. Betty scoffed and went upstairs to her bedroom.
