The Movies: Chapter 3

The car ride to the movies was tense. At least for Betty, it was. Jughead and Archie were talking about some guy that they watch, Betty wasn't paying much attention to it. What had her attention right now was Archie. She wanted to just go through with this movie thing and then go back home in her bed watching something entertaining. What happened the night before and earlier in the kitchen made Betty wonder what was going through Archies' mind right now. Was he confused as much as she was or was this all some huge prank? 

"So, we agree right Betty?'' Jugheads voice pulled her out of her thoughts. She looked at Jughead seeing that they had already arrived at the theater. 

"I'm sorry what was that Jug?" 

"Should've been paying attention ponytail", Archie looks at Betty with something in his eyes, but she's not sure what it is. 

"We're going to see You Should Have Left, is that alright with you," Jughead asked.

"Or is that too much for you Cooper" Archie looks right into Bettys' eyes, Jughead looking back and forth between the two wondering what is going on. 

"No of course not, no problem at all" Betty answered back. Archie was trying to make Betty break and she wasn't gonna let him. She climbed out of the car and into the theater. The boys followed her inside and purchased their tickets. Now everyone was just waiting on Veronica. 

"Come on what is taking her so long?" Betty asked.

"Probably deciding what purse to take." Betty giggled at Jughead's comment. 

"Maybe we should just go in already. She's taking too long and I do not feel like missing any of those future trailers. " Jughead continued. 

"Oh Jughead" All three teenagers turned their heads to be faced with Veronica. "Who actually cares about those future trailers." She walks towards Archie and takes his hand. Something in Betty is angry about it. She doesn't want Veronica touching Archie at all, the real question is why? 

"Uh, I do you can see what dumb movies are coming out in the future so you can avoid them at all cost." Jughead responses back to Veronica. 

"Okay, we'll we're not going to be able to see anything if we just stand around here. Let's go!" Archie said getting frustrated for whatever reason. 

The four teens walked to their movie theater room and began to figure out where to sit. The seating arrangements were Jughead, Betty, Archie, and then Veronica. The movie was beginning and Betty was not getting a good feeling knowing that Veronica could be touching Archie at that same moment. 

They were halfway through the movie when Betty felt a hand on her thigh. She looked down to see it belonging to Archie. A type of rush went through her body, one she hadn't felt before in her life. She felt Archies breathe on her neck, he leans in closer with a whisper. 

"Just wanted to you know thank you for being apart of my plan ponytail" 

All Betty does is nod her head, unable to make any sound out of her mouth. Archie slowly pulls away from her neck, his hand still on her thigh. He leaves his hand there for the rest of the movie. Betty doesn't move for the rest of the movie either, too afraid to do anything.

 Once the movie finished they decide to go to Pops. Veronica and Archie hand in hand, while Jughead and Betty were behind them walking side by side. Betty tried to listen in on what Archie and Veronica were talking about, but all she could hear was Jugheads voice talking about some English assignment they had. They arrived at Pops and into the booth that they usually sit in. Veronica and Archie sat on one side while Betty and Jughead sat on the other. 

"So I was thinking about maybe throwing a huge back to school party" Veronica explained.

"Do you really think it's a good idea to throw a party when everyone is stressed about college and stuff?," Jughead asked.

"Yea V, I have to agree with Jug with this one, maybe later in the year, right now everyone is trying to get their next life ready." Betty pointed out. 

"Oh C'mon guys, it'll be fun. You two are always so focused on life, you guys don't have enough fun. Please B?" she advised. 

"I don't know V" Betty let out. 

"What about you Archiekins?" Veronica leaned in on him, making Betty tense up."Will you come party with me?''

"Yea of course Ronnie" Archie responds. Veronica claps her hands and grabs Archies' face to kiss him. 

"Okay, well I should be going now," Betty says trying to get out of this whole situation. 

"Yea maybe we should get going now Betty before Alice flips out" Jughead agreed. 

"I'll text you later B," Veronica said. Betty nodded and left with Jughead. 

Once she got home, she went straight into the shower. Archie was the only thing on her mind and she didn't know why. Betty got ready for bed when she saw out of the corner of her eye Archies room light on. Something was telling her to just go to bed and leave it alone, but instead, it was something was pulling her to his window. She held her head up and pushed her curtains away.

 Betty regrets opening the curtains, seeing that Veronica and Archie were full-on making out. She knew what was going to happen next with the couple, and she was furious about it. Archie then put his head up and made eye contact with Betty. He smirked and Betty just stared at him. Archie stopped kissing Veronica to walk up to the window and he slowly closed the curtains with the smirk still on his face. She quickly closed her curtains and walked back to her bed. Laying on her back and stood there feeling some kind of jealously. Betty realized she was jealous of Veronica. Thinking that it was unfair that Veronica was able to have that and Betty wasn't. 

What made Betty angrier was why she was feeling this way. She never liked Archie, the two were supposed to hate each other. Lately, she was feeling some kind of lust for Archie and Betty was not liking it at all. Her phone went off and she turned to go see it. 

Archie

Betty walked to her window and opened the curtains to see Archie on the other side shirtless. He was looking right at her, his eyes trailing down her body. She scoffed and shook her head. Archie looked back at his phone and texted her again. 

Maybe we can try one day. 

Bettys heart dropped when she read the message. She looked back at him, his eyes still on her. Betty looked around to make sure no one was around. She took off her shirt looking straight at him. His smirk widened and Betty smiled back at him. The two looked at each other knowing that all hell was about to break loose.
