Everyone was sitting on the couches waiting to see who would be the first one to go into the closet. Betty was beginning to feel anxious not knowing what was to come next. Just having to watch the bottle spin and cross her fingers that it wouldn't stop on her. Lucky the first pair was Kevin and some underclassmen. Bettys' anxiety took hold of her every time the bottle spun giving her chills throughout her body. She knows Archie is staring at her, she can feel his eyes staring right into her. It's as if he's waiting for her to crack and she wasn't going to give him that satisfaction. The moment Betty was dreading had finally come, the bottle pointed straight at her as if she had a target on her chest. All eyes were on her waiting for her to spin.
"Cousin, would you please save us all some time and spin the freakin bottle!" Cheryl was beginning to feel irritated and so was everyone else.
"Oh B, come on, it's just a game." Veronica slurred.
Betty gave in and spun the bottle and if her night couldn't get any worse the bottle lands right onto a certain redhead.
Betty scoffed, "psf, as if"
Shocked faces were plastered on everyone's face, well except Archie, if you really looked at him you would tell he was beyond angry, and a certain Jughead Jones was the one really looking at him.
"You guys gonna hit it on in that closet or?" Reggie questioned.
"No, I'm not, someone else can go," Betty stated.
"Not surprised, Cooper can't even play a little middle school game." Archie let out his slick remark.
"It's pathetic that we're all in our senior year of high school and we're playing this stupid game." Jughead chimed it.
"Wow, you guys sure do know how to suck the fun out of a game." Veronica let out.
"It's Betty that knows how to suck the fun out of everything, aren't I right Betty? I mean Veronica had to practically beg you to come out tonight. You can't even play a game." Archie was now standing in front of Betty. Tears starting to form in her eyes, everyone stares waiting to see what happens next.
Betty gets up, inches away from Archie s face, they stare at each other for what feels like forever. She shoves him away from her and states, "You guys can have fun. I'm done playing this stupid game and wasting my life."
She storms out of the room with Jughead and Veronica yelling after her, which only made her walk out faster. Once she was outside she let all her tears fall out. She couldn't understand why Archie was acting this way towards her and to think that some part of her wanted him. Betty realized she now didn't even have a ride back home since Kevin was still inside with everyone.
She walked the whole way home, once she walked inside she headed straight to her room. Her entire body was numb. She fell onto her bed and went to sleep.
Back at the party
Archie sat there in his guilt while everypne was stilling partying and having a blast. He felt like a complete asshole for doing that to Betty. He began to walk outside when Jughead walked up to him and pulled him to a corner.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Jughead hissed.
"What are you talking about?" Archie asked.
"What am I talking about? Maybe I'm talking about how you were treating Betty like complete shit and going off at her infront of all of our friends!" he replied. Archie can tell that Jughead was pissed off, but honestly Archie was not really able to understand why he was protecting Betty so much.
