Bettys POV

My head shot up to the sound of Jughead and Archie yelling at the TV screen in Jugs room. This is the fourth day in a row that Archies has been over and I've never been so annoyed. It's as if Archie doesn't have his own house to live in. I got up from my bed and walked towards Jugheads room. Our parents have been married for about a year and it's nice to see my mom happy and Jughead and FP have always been so kind to me, the only problem was Archie Andrews. He has always been a douche to me since we were kids. No matter what I did, he always found a way to ruin it.

Jughead and Archie have been best friends since they were seven years old. Ever since then they've stuck together and when our parents got married, they got even closer considering Archie lived right next door to me. As I walked into Jugheads room I couldn't help, but notice Archie taking off his shirt right when I walked in. Was it because he was sweating because of the hot summer day? Or was it just to specifically get at me? Most likely to be the douche he was.

"Can you boys really turn it down, I'm trying to get work done", I asked. Looking more at Archie than Jughead.

"Yeah, of course, anything for you girly" Archie replied with a wink and smirk. I rolled my eyes at his smirk, he really thinks he can go places with that smirk of his.

"Hey Archie, cool it okay, sorry Betty we'll keep the noise level down" Jughead finally got involved.

" Thanks, Jug" I responded and began to talk and suddenly felt eyes on me.

I turn back to Jughead's room and caught Archie looking right at my ass then to my eyes when I caught him. All he did was smirk and turn back to the game he was playing with Jug. what a perv.

Archies POV

When Betty finally walked away I turned my head back to the game. I noticed Jughead staring at me with a smirk on his face.

"What?" I asked with a confused looked.

" You know "what" Andrews," Jughead said still with his smirk

" No, I really don't" I replied back.

"Don't think I didn't see you looking at Bettys ass a couple of seconds ago" Jughead teased.

"Well how could I not, listen to me Jug if I were you I would've been smashed dude" I joked. I was just kidding around with him. Everyone knew Veronica and I were stable together.

" I thought you hated her, what you like her now?" Jughead asked in his most sarcastic Jughead way.

"What?! No way" I answered too quickly, "You can hate someone and still think they're hot dude" I continued.

"Erm, no I don't think that's how it works Mr.Archie" Jughead mumbled loud enough for Archie to hear.

"Whatever man lets get back to this match so we can see me kick your ass again."

"You wish ginger"

With that, we continued with the game we were playing before Betty interrupted. I'm not surprised that she came in here wanting us to quiet down. I yell loudly on purpose because I know it gets on her nerves. I mean come on who is really doing work in the summertime, only Betty Cooper. I started to think about what Jughead said earlier about me liking her, there's no way I could like her. She's too perfect for me, I would ruin her and I couldn't live with myself if I ever ruined Betty's life.

Later that night...

That night Archie slept over again, it bothered Betty so much the amount of time he spent at her house. She understands that Jughead and him are best friends, but that does not mean he has to be over every second of every day. She's tried to talk to her mom about it, but her mom tells her to not pay attention to it because it is not her business.

Betty struggles to sleep that night for some reason. She makes her way quickly and quietly to the stairs trying not to wake anyone up. Once, she makes it down the stairs safely, she can't help, but see someone of a human figure. She walks closer to get a better view of what it was. And of course, it was none other than Archie Andrews. Betty cleared her throat which made Archie jump a little. Once, he saw it was Betty he was able to calm down a bit.

" What the hell are you doing down here at 2:30 in the morning," Archie asked. Now noticing what Betty was wearing. A white tank top that he was able to see her black bra in and pink shorts that were a tad bit too short in Archies' opinion. He did not want Betty walking around like that, but he didn't know why he felt that way.

"Umm, I could ask you the same thing except I would add why you were in my fridge to your question," Betty said while walking in front of Archie at the opened fridge. She began to bend down to look for something to drink for herself.

Archie just watched her look through the fridge, he couldn't move at all. Betty was right on him and if he moved it would make this whole situation a lot more awkward. Not that Archie was complaining about the position, but he did not know if Betty was aware of what was happening.

She pulled out the water gallon and quickly poured herself a cup of water. Betty knew exactly what position her and Archie were in moments ago, but was not really sure what it was about. None of them have said anything and if she was being honest the silence was killing her. She was about to turn back around and head towards her room, but she felt Archie against her. She gasped a little and wondered if Archie heard it or not.

Archie moved his hand over her neck with his fingertips not only touching her neck but the top area of her breast. He grabbed a cup from the top cabinet and poured himself a cup of water. Still, behind Betty, he finished his water and gently placed the cup into the sink.

"Goodnight Betty" Archie whispered into her ear. She was able to feel his breath on her neck and she didn't know why it made her feel some kind of way in her body. She nodded and a soft breath escaped her lips. He slowly took his arm away from her waist, gently touching her butt for a second that could've been an honest mistake, before walking away and heading upstairs to Jughead's room. Betty was finally able to breathe when she heard Jughead's room door close, she didn't notice that she had held her breath in for so long. She finished her water and slowly walked back up to her room. Before she stepped into her room she took a glance at Jughead's door started thinking about what occurred. She shook it off and walked into her room and closed her door.

Neither Betty nor Archie were able to sleep that night. The two were only able to replay what had happened in the kitchen earlier that night. Two questions were left in their heads. Why did it happen? And Why were both teens not able to stop thinking about the other one? They were supposed to hate each other, be enemies, maybe that'll change.
