"You bloody killed that, girly!" Bash calls to me from the front of the large pontoon boat as Raul slides it up next to the dock.

"It was so much fun." I say smiling looking at the photos Giselle took while I was wake boarding.

Not to brag, but I was better than all the others here apart from Raul who I learned does this multiple times a week.

"Fucking natural, eh?" Bash boasts and my stomach flutters. I look up to watch him grab the metal eye-hook on the dock to aid with tieing off the boat.

His back flexes as he stretches and pulls the nose of the pontoon towards the dock while bending over the railing of the pontoon. Of course, my eyes drop to his ass in those damp black swim shorts. Before I'm caught by the group for my gawking I look away.

When I look away I see Jared looking where I had been looking.

"Oh my goodness!" Giselle elbows me and my attention is returned to the phone. "You actually got air this one, look."

I squint and  notice I did manage to get a little air as I crossed the wake made by the boat.

Bash jumps from the boat and finishes with tying it off then helps with lugging the coolers out while I help Giselle out of the pontoon and onto the dock.

"Come on, Pen. Let's go show the girls how you rocked that!" Giselle hooks an arm around my own.

"Hold on, I'll be there in a second."

Bash is grabbing a second cooler from Jared but I touch his arm to get his attention as Giselle scampers off to the group of girls still sunning themselves.

"You alright?" He asks his smile matching my own so I nod quickly.

"Um, I was wondering if you would want to give me a ride to work later? Since the bus is still at the police station?"

He straightens and adjusts the cooler in his arms, "Oh, for sure. What time is your shift?"

"I start at seven."

"Sounds sweet, I can run home and grab the extra helmet."

I'm thrown off for a second then realize he thinks I'm asking for a ride from here to Magnolia Bar and Grill.

"Oh," I giggle. My chest warms at how he didn't flinch at my asking or think twice about missing out with time here at The Falls, "No, I meant from the apartment to the bar. I need to shower and change at the apartment first."

"No biggie at all." Bash chuckles then begins to walk by, "I'll take you. Gimme' like twenty minutes to head back to the house to get the helmet."

I chew on my cheek, trying not to smile be sure of course I'd rather him drive me to the apartment than Giselle. "Are you sure?"
