Chyette holds onto me like he's trying to keep a ticking time bomb from exploding.

However, the more the seconds tick by while we stand on the elevated curb on the sidewalk waiting for our pending uber, the sting in my throat and the burn in my eyes fizzle away.

Boyfriend.

All this time he's known I've been looking for the secret boyfriend, and all this time it's been him.

Has looking at my face satisfied some sick dead-girl fetish? Obviously, this is the secret he's been holding close.

Headlights appear and slow as Chy's phone dings with a notification that our ride is here.

But I can't hold it in. I can't just leave. Bash owes me an explanation, if not an explanation he's going to stand there and take whatever form of assault that comes from me.

I spin out of Chy's warm, secure grasp and trudge through the warm grass back towards the loud, lit large fraternity house. "Aspen?!" Chy follows quickly.

The voice of Detective Sheen sounds off, "What happened?!"

"Nothing! It's just drama." Chy answers.

My fists are balled at my sides and my jaw is clamped shut. I reach the porch steps and find Holly talking to a girl but I don't care. Using my larger size and weight I grip her skinny arm and yank her towards with me and to the door, "Tomorrow he's going to say you're lying. Tonight, he's telling me the truth."

"Aspen, yo'! Everyone is drunk this isn't the best idea-." Chy attempts to be the voice of reason, but I'm done with it.

I've been lied to time and time again. And it stops now.

"I don't want any trouble," Holly whimpers next to me as I pull her behind me and start up the stairs, shoving the hormonal idiots out of my way from their barricades of human bodies twisted up in deep kissing and fondling.

"You're just insurance. With you there, he can't lie." I assure her. Once he's admitted it she can leave for all I care.

I'm sweating and fuming by the time I reach his door I left this morning. I'd slept in his bed last night, cuddled, and felt so fulfilled after yesterday in the library.

Flinging the closed door, it slams into the interior wall loudly bringing with it the eyes of Bash, Jared, and Coleson all within the room looking more than shocked to see me.

Of course, these three are together.

I pull Holly inside, gripping her tightly on her elbow, having no fucks that everyone in the room is about to see Bash earn himself a new asshole.

"What's wrong, Aspen?" Bash asks, his brows furrowed as he looks at the tight hold I have on Holly.

"Foxy was your girlfriend?" I ask, wanting to cut to the chase. I don't have the self-control to try and trick him into revealing his lie.
