After 15 minutes we arrived at a big house. I pulled my car into the driveway and grabbed my portfolio. I might have my chance to get big. My career rests in this band's hands.
Chris knocked on the door as I nervously waited to meet these guys. Soon the door swung open and there stood a man with spiked up black hair. He had a big brown eyes and he looked like a pretty nice guy. "Hailey, welcome to Casa De Pierce The Veil."
I knew the guy that opened the door looked familiar. Standing in front of me was the great Tony Perry, Mike Fuentes, Jaime Preciado, and Mr. Vic Fuentes. Pierce The Veil was standing in the same room as me. Am I dreaming right now?
"Hey Chris, getting over Natalie that quick?" Vic asks him. Chris' happy look quickly turned into sorrow. I guess things didn't go too well with this Natalie girl.
"No actually, I brought Hailey to meet you guys. Hailey, this is-" I chuckled to myself and rubbed the back of my neck.
"I know who they are. I'm a big fan." All the guys laughed as I shook their hands. It would be pretty crazy if I went on tour with guys. I've heard how wild they get during parties.
"I wanted you guys to meet Hailey because she does some pretty sick tattoos. I thought you guys could probably take her on tour." Chris took my portfolio from out my hands and handed it to Mike.
They all flipped through the pages and stared at artwork on the white pages. "Wow, Hailey, these are really amazing. How do you manage to make these look so cool?" I was flattered. Tony Perry thought my designs were amazing. How do I even respond to that?
"I just practiced hard enough and eventually got to drawing like this. I never thought my drawings would get me to meet Pierce The Veil. It really is an honor to meet you guys." They all chuckled and looked at me smiling. This band really was a family to each other. It was quite obvious they loved each other and would do anything for one another.
Vic looked at Chris and nodded his head. "Well, it would be an honor for you to come on tour with us. What do you say kid? Sounds good?" Jaime came up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I smiled but thought how I would be leaving my home and everything for so long.
"We promise you'll have the best time ever. You won't regret it. It'll be the summer of your life. No doubt about it." Mike told me. I did need to do something new with my life. Even though I did just open the shop I could give it to Bailey. I know she worked hard to get here and having her own tattoo shop would be her dream. I'll be living my life on the road with Pierce The Veil at Warped Tour. This is an opportunity that someone could never get again. I wouldn't pass this down for anything. This will be my big break and I could never ask for something better.
"You got a deal." I smiled to them. Mike ran towards their kitchen and came back with six shot glasses and a bottle of tequila. This could probably be the best summer of my life starting tonight. I could probably be happy for the first time in years.
"Here's to Hailey! For packing all her clothes in the fastest amount of time." I was instantly confused.
"What's that supposed to mean?" They all quickly laughed.
"We leave tomorrow."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was now 5:30 in the morning. I had to stay up all night just to pack clothes for the summer. Don't get me wrong this will be the best thing ever for me but I wish I was told earlier. Things would be so much more simpler. If I don't have time to pick up some coffee and breakfast before we leave, I will probably kill someone.
