My mind was honestly stumped even as a slight fear grew considering the look Peter was currently giving me at the moment. On top of the fact he had me pinned under him and no one knew where I had run off to. This hadn't been my brightest moment I had to admit. Either way I put the issue aside as I slowly lowered my eyes, that had switched to a bright blue, while also tilting my head in complete submission to the Alpha.

"So, you did read the books," mused Peter as his nose brushed against the side of my neck. "You also smell of my nephew as well though. Wise of you to find an actual werewolf to help you learn how to control your new self."

"Books can only help so much," I offered softly even as I kept my eyes away from his until he seemed to have his fill of Alpha moment. "Though you must have been planning for a while to bite me if you had the books ready."

"I did say you helped me regain my sanity, didn't I?" returned Peter with a raised eyebrow as he finally pulled back enough to allow me to sit up.

"I just talked to you," I said in slight surprise as my eyes finally met his making him let out a low hum as he took in my blue eyes and not gold ones. "I would rather you not ask."

"So why does your brother not trust you?" asked Peter instead of what he had likely been going to ask as he climbed to his feet to begin stretching.

"Our father is the current Sheriff of Beacon Hills," I answered tiredly while also moving to climb to my feet. "And with it now seeming to become more supernatural including the return of the Argent's. I thought it would better for him to be in the know."

"The Argent's are back?" demanded Peter eyes once more burning crimson as a snarl left his mouth making me bite back a whimper.

"They returned at the end of the summer," I answered honestly before taking a deep breath. "We had run into Chris Argent and one other in the Reserve and overheard them talking about having used Laura as bait to get Derek to return."

"Those fucking bastards," growled Peter before taking in a deep breath. "Did you know the only thing before you showed up two years ago that kept me going was reliving the moment of my Pack's death?

To know that when I did heal, if I did, that I could finally get revenge on those who played a part in our destruction?"

"No," I answered honestly even if a part of me had wondered. "But you don't have to do it alone now Peter. We can get Derek to help us since I know he is starting to wonder if its the new Alpha or the Argent's who really killed Laura."

"One thing you have to understand about Derek," stated Peter with some regret heavy in his scent as he once more moved to stand over my shorter form as his hand covered in claws raised to settle into my hair.

"Is that he has never trusted me after what happened with his first love Paige. He will not trust me on this either."

"He has no right to judge you," I stated seriously as my mind began to run through everything I knew about Peter Hale and Derek Hale. "Laura and he left you here vulnerable and at the mercy of any hunter who might pass by without being able to defend yourself.

They let you to rot and fall deeper into insanity as you were trapped remembering and feeling that horrid day over and over again for years.

So, no Derek has no right to judge you. Make him listen and see from your point of view on things."

"Well aren't you defensive of me," mused Peter with a smirk pulling at his lips and twisting the scars that still covered over half of his body on one side. "You were a right choice to make in making my Beta."

"Why bite Scott though?" I couldn't help but ask with a wrinkle of my nose as I thought of how Scott was starting to be a lot like he was described in the TV show, much to my aggravation.

"He was there," shrugged Peter with a slight grimace as he waved the question away. "But it also means I need to get him under control soon or we will have an Omega in our territory.

But for now, you should be heading back home my little wolf."

I couldn't really argue against that as I gave Peter one last look before surging forward to wrap my arms around his waist as my cheek rested against his chest easily hearing his heartbeat even clearer. Then I was pulling away cheeks burning red and taking off back to my house knowing Stiles was likely losing his mind with worry since I had been gone for a couple hours now.

"Be safe Peter," were my last whispered words as I jumped out the window and took off.

"Now to explain to Stiles..."

"Where the hell have you been?" demanded Stiles the moment I climbed into my open bedroom window making my head shoot up and lock with where he stood in my room.

"Out," I answered easily with a shrug while turning to snap the window closed before ambling further into my room. "But let me guess you now want to grill me for all the answers about your best friend's new girlfriend?"

"No," denied Stiles with a shake of his head before he was stalking forward and yanking me into a tight hug. "You are my baby sister Mars and I was beyond worried when I couldn't get a hold of you and didn't even know where you had gone."

"Then act like it," I whispered as my own arms wrapped around my brothers middle. "Trust me to know what I am doing and for once Stiles.

Don't pick Scott over me."
